Got to Oasis sector, completed the first mission, saved and quit.  
 
Came back today, several days later, and found that the mission for some reason bugged out and isn't noted as being completed, however, the damage I caused during said mission occurred and....there's no way to try the mission again, which means there's no way to complete the sector which means...I'm dead in the water. It's the same situation over several save files. God. Damn. 

All of the damage you do should be reset when you start a new mission.

Damn, that really does suck. I feel sorry for you Keith David.

If it's on PC, I'm sure someone else has had this problem.

Amazingly, I figured it out - the mission disappears until you get 100% control of the zone, however the game never tells you this. Probably not good game design. 

yeah the save system can be weird in RFG, This is why I have kept multiple saves so far.
