So there are a bunch of Red Steel 2 reviews out now and the average is around 8.1. The game is looking awesome! A lot of the reviewers are saying that the game definitely lives up to it's hype and it's a really awesome game. Here are a couple of the higher reviews:
IGN 8.6
Gametrailers 8.6
play.tm 82/100
Game is looking great and is definitely on my radar. I'm glad, it looks like they radically improved on the first game.
Anyone else picking this up?

The sequel to the critically panned Nintendo Wii launch title, grab your sword and gun and hunt down gang members in the futuristic wild west.
Reviews are looking good!
So apparently they made it good this time. Nice work.
(And yes, I'm aware that there are people in this very thread that like the first game.)
Whoa and here I was thinking I was alone in the world by actually liking the first game (minus those damn sword fights >_>)
Anyway I really wanted to buy this game but uhhhhhhh kinda ran out of money and won't have a job for an unknown amount of time so I won't be able to buy this. Pretty upsetting since I love everything I've seen about the game so far.
" @JJWeatherman said:Oh, well that's nice. I just looked it up and it's an extra $10 for the motion plus bundle but that's still a good deal." I don't have a Motion Plus. If I did though I would be all over this. "It comes with it. "
Kinda getting sick of this art style, and the whole east-meets-west thing, personally. So as a setting I feel like it's played out. Could be fun to play, but the loading doors look shitty.
Also I don't really like how shooters feel without controllers or whatever. I'll pass on it.
I picked it up today. The swordplay is excellent, and the gunplay is better than you'd expect from a game that talks about swordplay so much. I can definitely see some inspiration taken from the Metroid Prime games in terms of feel, though it doesn't have the platforming elements that series is known for.
The only issue is (and I'm sure that no one else will ever experience this since I seem to be the only one ever, and this is common for me) that I ran into a glitch that advanced me in the game. Not too far, but still. Whaddafuck. So, I'm going to be starting from the beginning, which I really don't have a problem with. The style and feel is great, and the fighting feels fantastic. It's probably the best use of motion control I've played.
