    The Redguards are a human race from the Elder Scrolls series who specialize in melee combat. They come from the province of Hammerfell.

    Redguards are the inhabitants of Hammerfell, a province of Tamriel. They are respected warriors throughout Tamriel and are renowned for their skill with blade and shield. Despite their natural skill at arms their independent and strong headed nature makes them poor infantrymen. They are better suited to adventuring or scouting and skirmishing roles. Originally migrating from Yokuda, a continent to the West of Tamriel, the Redguard boast a separate line of descent to the Nords, Bretons, and Imperials native to Tamriel.
