    Instant Classic.

Nearly everyone who has played Resident Evil 4 will tell you at the very least that it was a welcome change to the survival horror genre. While some may not agree with the Game of the Year title, most will at least agree that the game is great, and a much needed step forward.

The graphics are extraordinary. It pushes the Gamecube to its limits. I'd go as far to say that it can hold its own against most console games around today. As far as it pushes the Gamecube, it still holds a solid frame rate throughout the game. The art design is well done, very dark and gloomy with some extremely gory moments.

The sound is awesome. Its high quality, and very creepy. All of the action sounds crisp, and I personally think that the gunshots sound exceptional. The sound alone can scare you, there's no real need for the insane Portuguese people, well okay, maybe there is.

The game play is where this game really shines. Its the awesome survival horror game play we all know and love, but revolutionized. There's an all new over the shoulder camera angle that is a huge improvement over the old traditional ones. The game controls perfect, and in combination with the new camera angle it makes the game amazingly fun. There's also the integration of action sequenced cut scenes and the almighty chainsaw. The storyline is a good length, and will keep you entertained for a while.

Lets face it here folks, even if you're a Gamecube hater, this game deserved Game of the Year. Plus, I don't what people are complaining about as the game is now also available on Playstation 2 and Wii. If you're a fan of survival horror, you will probably love tihs game.

A truly fun and exciting experience. 0

First, let me tell you that I'm NOT a Resident Evil fan. I bought the original RE game way back when it first came out due to the word of mouth. The game frightened me a lot when I played it as a kid but I felt disappointed by the lanky controls and horrible item/save features. I never played any of the later RE games because I didn't have a good experience with the original. Now here comes Resident Evil 4, the game that turned me back into a fan. I was utterly impressed by the quality and sc...
