On November 9, 2009, it was announced by Capcom's PR...dude Chris Kramer that the content for RE5: Alternative Edition will NOT require you to buy a new copy of Resident Evil 5, but instead it will be released as DLC. Kramer said that online feedback was a sign that people want this as downloadable content. It was also said that this content will also be heading on the Xbox 360 as well, but it was not announced how it will be controlled.
Famitsu revealed that the name of the extra scenario featuring the flashback from the Spencer Estate is "Lost in Nightmares". The Spencer Estate has a lot of rooms that look very similar to the original Spencer Mansion featured in Resident Evil and it's remake. No enemies have been shown so far but the scenario seems to feature traditional Resident Evil style puzzles which were missing from Resident Evil 5.
Through new screenshots, one new enemie Chris and Jill will encounter looks to be a varient of the executioner enemy from the original Resident Evil 5.
Desperate Escape is the title of the next downloadable episode to follow soon after in March. No details have surfaced as of yet to what it will centre around, storywise.
Along with the two new story episodes, the popular Mercenaries minigame will recieve updates in the form of new characters. Chris and Sheva's confirmed costumes via screenshots are also to be added to the overall roster.





This upcoming RE5 update will bring motion controls to the proceedings.
