Hi, my system meets the min. specs bt it shows a black screen after the nvidia logo..thats it !! nothg happens !!!

any help is appreciated...ive waited sooo loong for this game !!!

it only meets the minimum requirements? im sure it meets the maximum !

Man yeah you're good to go on the requirements. Try reinstalling drivers perhaps? Hope you get it going too. The game is rad especially on pc....mmmmm hi-res textures

Sigh....the joys of PC software.   Step 1 is to see if there are new video drivers for your PC.  The program might be looking for some function and dying when it doesn't find it.  Bioshock was like that for me.  It would crash at exactly the same spot until I updated.

If that doesn't work, I'd suggest going to the RE5 support site to see if they have any ideas.  This involves mostly tweaking of settings.
 
If that still doesn't work.....then I'm all out of ideas.  I had bought Fable 1 for the PC and tried everything.  No joy.  There was no way I was formatting my HD for a game so I just put it away until I got a new PC.

If you see the nvidia logo that's only a video playing. When you can't see any graphics and the screen goes black, it might mean the videocard driver. Update that and try again, if that does not work, I don't know because I have the same card as you and it runs flawlessly on my pc.

Updating Direct X and gfx card drivers to latest does not solve the problem.

Which version driver do you have for your 9800gtx ?? maybe it'll work for me..

i tried previous versions of nvidia drivers but to no avail...yea my other pc games are working perfectly...the recent one batman arkhum asylum....u know eh..our card can handle anything...lol

we need to install WINDOWS MEDIA FORMAT RUNTIME 11
