Should i go pick it up since this is the only real good game coming out for a while or wait for another good game to come out?

I'm still thinking about it as well. I will have to call my friend up and have him drive us to the store because I still don't have my license. I might just wait a little bit.

Judging by the review, it seems like anyone who liked RE4 will enjoy this too.

Just beat the first chapter, and so far the thing I like best about the game is Sheva's ass. She really is hot for a video game character.

I would say go get it, its a good game.  Picked it up on my PS3 and not my 360 though. If you liked the other Resident Evil games i would say its a must. If not i still think its a game worth playing. Its a bit on the short side though first time through on normal took me around 10 hours.

But i have finished it 4 times now, there is still stuff to do in it if you really want to, like  upgrading weapons and unlocking stuff.

I wouldnt pick it up unless you have someone to play with.  Having played through the storyline by myself, I can say that I probably wouldnt go back and do it again without a friend.

Yes. That game has a hell of a lot of replay value.

It took me around 35 hours to get every thing in the game.  If you take your time the game will last you for a very long time.

Yes, get it. I never finished RE4 and thought it was ok, RE5 is awesome. I can't wait to finish it so I can start it again!

I like the coop. But if you want online then you would have to buy the 5$ DlC, which it isn't worth of.

This. If you even remotely liked Resident Evil 4, this game is a no-brainer.

I didn't enjoy it with a friend, and I don't want to think about playing without a friend. I have heard good things about it thou.

I fucking hated RE5. The controls suck, the story sucks, the ending sucks, the bosses suck, having Sheva follow you around everywhere sucks, the locale sucks... it just plain sucks.

i kind of regret paying $60 for it. i beat the game co-op and haven't touched it since. the game is totally weak too. not scary, not interesting. screw brads review, this thing deserved, AT MOST, a 3/5
go buy Dead Space instead if you haven't played it yet.

I would thoroughly recommend it but only really if you've got a friend to play it with

Yes.

I have grown into the game and give it a wholehearted recommendation. Only as long as you like RE4 and the controls it had.

#24 Posted by steelharrison (116 posts) -

If you like RE sure, pick it up.

If you like Gears of War maybe stick to Gears.

I had a lot of fun playing through co-op with one of my roommates. The story is fairly short and not super interesting unless you're really into the mythos, but the gameplay's alright and challenging enough to keep it interesting. Once you beat it once (and it's not a long game) though, there's not much to do but grind for achievements unless you want to shell out for the DLC, which means playing the same levels over and over again to make money and collect all the treasures and whatnot. I enjoyed it the first time through but it's not a particularly lasting experience.
