Personally, I'm using Type B.
Pulling the left trigger to aim and right trigger to shoot feels pretty natural since virtually every other game does it the same way. However, I don't know why, but for some reason the old RE4 movement scheme feels much better than the new "third person shooter" style movement. I'm not sure if it's the strafing or what but something just doesn't feel right. Maybe I should load up Gears of War 2 or Dead Space and see if I can figure out what they do that makes the movement feel right that isn't translating properly to RE5.

So What Controller Setup Are You Rolling With?
I've just come off playing RE 4 on the Wii and was using the defult dual-stick Type D and it did fell weird at first but then I tried Type B and I didn't work for me at all on a Xbox 360 controller so I stuck with Type D, after hearing a lot of shit about the controls before hand they play a lot better than I expected them to.
Haven't played the game yet, but I can see myself picking the same setup that RE4 uses -- whatever type that is. I don't see the point of using a dual-stick setup when you can't even walk and shoot at the same time. If anything, it probably just makes the game feel awkward. I also don't have any experience with the stop 'n' pop genre, so I don't feel the need to make the game play closer to those games. RE5 is just more RE4 to me.
I'm using the one it defaults to when you start the game, whichever one that is. It's fine. Arcahic, but fine.
The default one is the best in my opinion since it somewhat resembles the conventional 3rd person perspective in Gears of War .
