Spent a little over an hour with it yesterday, and I really enjoyed what I played. Definitely not perfect, but those reviews are far, far too harsh. Of course, I probably appreciate a little more that I otherwise would, being a massive RE fan. There is some really nice fan-service that I find irresistible.

Any more thoughts on the single player experience? Is it like Rainbow Six?

@DrMcKittrick: Let me refer you here.  I will be writing another one probably today. The quick version is I continue to enjoy my time more and more with it.

Holy crap this is getting slammed by everyone. I think I'm going to wait for the gold/super/complete edition.

Game of the year edition, probably.

I'm hoping for Ultra Mega Evil Edition.

@DrMcKittrick: not really like Rainbow Six all. I haven't spent much time with the single player, but its more Gears-like than anything else. You have a bunch of AI teammates that that can be online co-op bros if you want, they can go down, and you can revive them. So far it's pretty much "kill everything and move to the next waypoint"
