The achievements are officially out and they're confusing me. Each game have 12 achievements each (like every XBLA title), but the 12 achievements are worth 1000 points for each game (like every retail title). I read somewhere that the games are released as "Games on Demand" outside of Japan, which could explain the weird stuff, but don't take my word on it. Either way; here are the achievements (spoilers obviously if you haven't played the games before):

    Resident Evil 4 - 12 achievements worth 1000 points

It Begins With a Ring (50 points)
Ring the mysterious bell. What happens after that, is up to you.

Do Not Shoot the Water! (50 points)
Summon the master of the lake. Don't rock the boat.

A Rock and a Hard Place (50 points)
Outmaneuver the rampaging beast, El Gigante.

    Secure the Ballistics (50 points)
Rescue the president's daughter, Ashley. Afterwards, the real fun begins.

    A Bloodline Severed (50 points)
Defeat the village chief in battle.

    A Terrifying Assassin (150 points)
Turn the tables on Verdugo, the right hand of Salazar.

    The Castellan Falls (50 points)
Defeat Salazar, and make your escape from the castle.

The Ties That Bind (50 points)
Defeat Krauser, your former partner, in battle.

    We're Going Home (100 points)
Defeat Saddler in battle, and escape from the nightmare.

A Heart of Steel (150 points)
Clear the game on the highest difficulty.

What Are They Worth? (150 points)
Acquire all of the bottle caps in the game.

The S Stands for Stylish!! (100 points)
Acquire all of the costumes in the game.

Resident Evil: Code Veronica - 12 achievements worth 1000 points

    The Terror Begins (50 points)
Escape from the graveyard of terror.

    A Changed Father (50 points)
    Liberate the changed man.

    Beyond the Shades (50 points)
    Encounter a former S.T.A.R.S. captain.

    The Fallen Tyrant (100 points)
    Flatten an unstoppable enemy.

The Prisoner Who Lost Everything (100 points)
Defeat the nameless man and end his suffering.

To The Frozen Land (50 points)
Begin the search for your sister.

    The Arrogant Queen (150 points)
Put an end to the Queen's reign.

    Duty and Humanity (50 points)
Deliver some medicine to a man in need.

    Weapon Crazy (150 points)
    Get the Rocket Launcher.

    Battle Master (150 points)
Get the Linear Launcher from Battle Game.

From The Young Lady (50 points)
Receive encouragement from a young lady.

    The Green Giant (50 points)
Say farewell to your fallen comrade.

A lot of story related achievements, but also a lot of collecting and completing the games on hardest difficulties. I, for one, am very excited to play these titles! What about you?

Still super excited for when these come out. Was never able to finish RE4 on pro though, so that will be challenging. Never finished CVX , got to Antarctica and then just kinda stopped.

They are Games on Demand which means they'll be overpriced and will never be Deal of the Week.

They're not even trying anymore with these achievements. It's so 2006.

Agreed. Would be nice to see some achievements that require certain skill, like "snipe two enemies at once" or some such. Guess they couldn't work with much with only 12 achievements per game.

oh right you answered my question , i knew they were downloadable but didn't realise they wouldn't be arcade titles. can imagine these getting a stupidly high price and pretty much never dropping.

I was hoping they would be more inventive. They didn't give it much thought.

The RE4 ones are easy.  Actually did all that in the Gamecube version.  Really looking forward to buying this game for the 9534578 times.

Wait. I was under the impression RE4 and Code Veronica were going to be sold in a bundle pack. I guess that's not the case, huh.

I'll be thanking my lucky S.T.A.R.S. that I don't have to play Code Veronica again. Fucking hated that game.

I thought these were arcade games? Isn't there a cap to arcade games that makes it so they can only give 200 G?
Edit: Never mind. Guess these are Games on Demand titles. Still weird that they only have 12 achievements each, like an arcade title.

Precisely. The 1000G score seems to suggest they will be expensive Games on Demand, games.

I'm very curious on what the price will be per game. I want to think $10, but I definatly wouldn't be surprised by a $20 or above price tag.

    I swear I remember hearing $15 each.
