Who do you think is a better protagonist? i think Leon is better because he is still looks like a human, unlike Chris who's muscles are always on the verge of busting out of his shirt that is way to small, but hey that's just my opinion

Chris win hands down for me.  Partly because he was in the original (and for me best) Res Evil.  And partly because I am sure Leon is being played, no one ever seems to mention the US President, just the President.

Definitely Leon. Like Kush said, the two games he was in were the ones I enjoyed the most.

Seeing as my Resident Evil experience stems only from 4 and 5 and while Chris' boulder punching exploits did give me some possibly unintentional laughs, I'd have to go with Leon on this one.

Dude, Leon. Chris is fine and all, but Leon. Anyone that can put up with "LEON! HELP!" and "What're ya buying?" deserves your respect.

Both of them are great characters but, I would have to go with Leon.     Reason?  RE4.  That's all I have to say.

I definitely believe that Leon S. Kennedy is the greatest character in the  resident evil series he was a rookie cop already kicking zombie A$$ he also is really smart at what he does he doesn't just run around punching rocks he uses his head and he's never scared of doing the right thing I mean think about it if you were on an island to save a little girl and there was a way you could leave but with out her would you not leave guess what he didn't he stayed to complete his mission and he has fought and defeated the biggest and most zombies out there and the only thing i can ask for more is that he is in re6 Leon is also way cooler and more acrobatic along with skilled in many fighting styles such as knife fighting and kicking

RE1 has had some of the most memorable dialogue and scenes in my gaming history. Especially the live action parts. But aside from that, the whole thing with Wesker (the cool guy) is awesome, and Jill can turn into Zero Suit Samus. And the thing Chris did with the flashbangs in the remake of RE 1 was pretty badass. If anything the fact that he's hit his mid 30's and bulked up a bit makes him even more badass compared to that wuss Leon who was all hesitant about shooting zombies and trying to reason with them in the opening cinematic.. Idiot.
And chris starts off with a knife. He doesn't even get a gun or anything. Also Chris has, at this point, the best graphics. There is no better rendered playable videogame character as of yet than Chris Redfield.

 Chris did not kill Wesker. when Sheva and Chris met Wesker they both ran, afterwards Jill told him his weakness, then Sheva and Chris injected him (one of them held him down) then Sheva stalled him on the plane, and it Was in fact Sheva who stabbed Wesker so many times in the heart while chris held him down. Leading to both Sheva and Chris killing Wesker together.chris sheva jill and josh killed wesker...so chris only assisted in killing wesker...
 
  

leon took down a giant with his knife and chris had to use the machine gun of a hummer to do the same. i think leon is the top badass character of resident evil
i also noticed how ppl say dat Chris>Leon,but they cant even tell why except simple reasons like:
1.muscles - (which Leon proved that he can fight things that has 100x more muscles than Chris has)
2.has more training & experience - (but leon has SHOWN us equal or better)
3.Wesker - (which is totally embarrassing mentioning how Chris managed the situation since CVX and RE5)

I liked Leon because he realized he was in a ridiculous game.  He shouted one-liners, did ridiculous shit, and never dropped into "this is serious business mode".
