I was really excited for playing with 60 players online when I got resistance 2, And I do like it. Some of my friends came over to play co-op with me and ALL of them didn't like it because it was too "Chaotic" they prefered the more tactical approach such as games like call of duty even know it doesn't have co-op, is it really too chaotic what do you think???
Online too chaotic???
Alright, Alright fine, mabey not Cod4. although IS MORE TACTICAL, especially hardcore, i mean, come on it only takes a few bullets to kill someone where in res 2 it takes a full clip NOT TO SAY THAT I DON'T LIKE RESISTANCE 2 I LOVE THIS GAME!!!
anyway if anyone else REALLY likes Res 2 give me your psn name and Ill add you
My PSN name is Scumble373 See you online!! :)
I know what you mean. This is about as chaotic and fast paced as I can handle.
The real problem is that everyone can sprint to quickly, and that there is no effective mid range weapon. In general everybody is sprinting toward the enemy to get close enough to use the carbine, or is sprinting away from the action to get far enough away to pick people off with the far-eye. There is this tactical dead space.
It's chaotic enough that there's an adjustment period if you've been playing any other shooter for a significant amount of time but a big part of that is due to the way Resistance's aiming mechanics work. You have a Counter Strike-esque "snap" to your aim and it means that your view darts around the screen really, really quickly. That combined with all the sprinting and the weapons having a high fire rate makes it feel extra crazy, even in a 5v5 match. However, it's not chaotic to the point of being unplayable. You just can't play it coming straight off of something like Halo or Gears because it's like waking up with headphones on blaring metal at your while your house is on fire and you're being shot at.
