Am I the only one who misses co-op from Resistance 2?

The co-op campaign from Resistance 2 was a really cool, class-based addition to the game. I finished Resistance 3's single player campaign last night but I am definitely lamenting the loss of R2's separate co-op campaign. Am I alone in this? As much as I liked R3's story over the previous games, I can't shake the feeling that I wish this had stayed in the sequel.

It was easily my favourite aspect of Resistance 2 (and I'm within the minority who enjoyed everything to do with R2), and while R3 does have a brilliant campaign, the exclusion of a lot of the multiplayer features brought down what could of been a 5 star game for me =/

The tacked-on coop of Resistance 3 is definitely less interesting.

Resistance 2 co-op reminded me of WoW. But in a good way.

Also we've been invaded by robots.

The trick is to make the robots turn on each other using a paradox. Anyway, I really liked R2's Co op too, I thought it was an interesting change to the run of the mill co op that was in the first and it seems third game. I might even go as far to say that it was my favourite bit of R2.

Yep, miss it as well. Although it really required a team of people you knew, I had a terrible time with randoms.

wasn't really into the COOP...but I miss everything else that was Resistance 2 after completing Resistance 3. Easily the worst of the series; which perplexes me since every single review seemed to state this was the best of the series. I know all the games were linear but R3 felt so very constricted. You are always being funneled to area after area where you fight 10 or so Chimera in sort of a wide open arena and then move on to the next (the last bits in New York were awful...wave after wave of enemies). Really I can't think of anything that was quite memorable about the game set piece-wise. The train sequence is all that really comes to mind and it was simply not good at all. And, boy, that ending...probably one of the worst, most lack luster endings ever.

As you might be able to tell, I was quite disappointed with the singleplayer. I'm not really into the MP either...I only like the prison map.

I'm surprised some people have love for R2's coop. I thought it was complete shit. Repetitive, frustrating, multiplayer maps with walls, boring, etc. It was fucked.

The co-op was definitely my favorite thing about Resistance 2, and I was disappointed to see it didn't return in 3. What made it especially sad in my mind was that the R2 co-op seemed to have a lot of potential to grow into something even cooler. Then Resistance 3 didn't do it, and no one else is either.
