The Resistance franchise was created by Insomniac Games, Inc. The franchise started with the first game in a series of games, Resistance: Fall of Man (2006). Currently, the Resistance franchise contains three unique titles including Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3), Resistance: Retribution (PSP), and Resistance 2 (PS3).
All games within the Resistance franchise feature game play of the Shooter genre. Each title contains a central protagonist fighting against the Chimeran, a world-dominating alien force.
The Resistance franchise consist of the human race and their fight for survival against the mysterious Chimera forces.
