Will this come out before the end of the world?

No, I don't mean Dec whatever 2012, I mean the one in 2034 when our robot overlords spawned by the Google collective rise up against their hated oppressors after having read the communist manifesto and applying it to their own desolate situation... Anyway, it seems this game is still coming soon to an online purveyor of video games near you... And it has been for quite some time. Any status reports anyone out there can give?

It's coming out after Half-Life 3...

In an interview a few days ago at PAX the developer said it was coming out within the next two months. So...late October...maybe...hopefully for reals this time.

As far as I can tell, the most recent delay was purely due to the publishers. Since he had dedicated himself to a same-day cross-platform release, we all have to wait. It's frustrating since I preordered the PC version about 6 months ago.

Bummer, but that's fine. I have Dust: An Elyssian Tale, Torchlight II, Orcs Must Die, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, and Mark of the Ninja to hold me over. I'll play it around the holidays so it'll just add to the nostalgia I feel around that time of year.

Yeah, seems like SUCH a long time ago that I first started watching trailers for the game.

And to think that back then I was under the impression that the game was "done" and would be coming out soon.

Any longer and it's definition of the word 'Retro' will probably encompass Skyrim.

It would have been nice to see it release in the summer. I hope it doesn't get lost in the holiday rush :(

It damn well better, it's bad enough having to wait for Monaco and the next Half-Life

@EarlessShrimp: I think I can finally answer your question.

Yes, it will come out before the end of the world.

So when exactly is the date that the world is supposed to end this year?

#14 Posted by EarlessShrimp (1631 posts) -

@Colourful_Hippie: I think due to some technical difficulties the end of the world may be postponed for another few billion years at the latest?

@Dalai: at last, I can find some comfort. Thank you kind sir.

Crossplay too.

Buy it on Vita, play it on your PS3. I'll be doing that :)
