    Overview

    Rex is an enemy type in the Super Mario Bros. franchise. Rexes are dragons that resemble a dinosaur. When they are jumped on they will compress into roughly half the size and must be jumped on again to defeat.

    Versions

    Besides the normal version of Rex, there are also two alternate sub-species of Rex:

    • Shroob Rex - The Schroob Rex is an alternate version of Rex that has been turned into the Shroob version by aliens in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time.
    • Sad Rex - Sad Rex are a variant of Rex that will sit in one spot and cry. These Rex were affected by the Vibe Scepter in Super Princess Peach.
