    Dr. Edward
    Dr. Edward "The Doc" Richtofen

Doctor Edward Richtofen (voiced by the world famous Nolan North) is a Nazi Illuminati and one of the key creators of the Nazi Zombies. Forced to kill his own creations, Richtofen finds himself working with Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo. Seeing himself above them, he treats them with snide disregard, responding only when the opportunity to make insulting comments to the one who spoke, instead electing to speak to his creations. This sociopathic doctor will stop at nothing to ensure his own survival.

His biography had this to say:

"Beware The Doc." This message was scrawled across walls of every town under Axis control. Starvation may cripple you, dysentery may wreck you, and gunfire may rip the flesh from your bones, but beware the Doc.

Meet Dr. Richtofen, known affectionately as the Butcher to his victims as they scream in agony moments before he snuffs out their light. Throughout his career, Richtofen has always been at the forefront of torture and information extraction research. Before the war, he was a back alley plastic surgeon, who created an army of monstrous affluent Weimar socialites that would follow him around and laugh at every joke the genius doctor made. This all fell apart when the republic fell and the Nazi party took control. To Richtofen, their values were too moral, too liberal for his liking. He joined the army so he could satisfy his need to watch people die, slowly.

An incurable sociopath, he sees no moral distinction between natural death and murder. The victim is the victim, regardless of how their demise manifests itself.

He has a collection of stuffed animals, most of them posed in positions of terror at the instant of their death.

    Story

Doctor Richtofen was working alongside Dr. Ludvig Maxis and his group, 935. They were working in a factory known as "Der Riese" or "The Giant". They used many experiments with Element 115, an element taken from an asteroid taken from Tunguska. Maxis and Richtofen used 115 to create zombies from dead humans. They tried to control the zombies. However, the zombies could not be controlled, and would go berserk.

While this was happening, Rictofen was using 115 on live subjects to create super-soldiers. He used Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki, and an unknown Mexican. When the Mexican died, he used American Tank Dempsey in his experiments. Dempsey had been captured when he went to an asylum to rescue Peter McCain, an agent sent by 935 to observe the zombies creation. The experiments brainwashed them, making Tank aggressive, Takeo recite Japanese proverbs over and over, and Nikolai functionless without vodka.

Richtofen later helped Maxis create teleporters that ran on Element 115. They destroyed everything that went through them, though. Richtofen and another lab assistant teleported a walnut. Maxis then criticized them for teleporting something so small, and how it was no major development. Later, Dr. Maxis started talking about mass producing weapons powered with 115. With that, Maxis created the Ray Gun, while Richtofen made the Monkey Bomb and the DG-2 Wunderwaffe. Richtophen was becoming angry with Maxis for always criticizing him, and plotted to overthrow him and take over 935. He also continued his experiments with the teleporters. He used his first human subject and teleported him to the M.P.D., an alien device that ran on life essence and drove Richtofen insane. Unbeknownst to Maxis, Richtofen had mastered teleporting, and he was still working on it.

Maxis had become frustrated that he could not teleport anything, and used his daughter Samantha's dog as a test subject. When he teleported it, the dog became the first hell-hound. When Samantha walked on to find out what happened to her dog, Richtofen executed his plan to kill Dr. Maxis and teleported Samantha to the moon, where she became trapped in the M.P.D.. Maxis got away, and Rictofen told Group 935 to find him and kill him.

Little did he know that Samantha was now in control of the zombies.

When doctor Maxis was found, he managed to make his way to the moon. He started apologizing to Samantha for what he had done and instructed her to kill all of Group 935. He was then found and promptly shot. Richtofen then retreated to Shi No Numa to think. When the zombies attacked him, he realized that Samantha would stop at nothing to get revenge. Richtofen then took his super-soldiers to Der Riese to seize equipment. He then used the Wunderwaffe to overcharge the teleporters. Unbeknownst to him, this had made them capable of time-travel. He then ended up at Kino Der Toten, an abandoned theater that Maxis was going to unveil the teleporters.

Sometime later, a Russian agent named Yuri was sent to launch monkeys into space. Yuri later notices toys such as Matryoshka Dolls and teddy bears spread around the base, known as Ascension. A child (Samantha) possesses him to trap his superior, Gersch, in a black hole known as the Gersch Device. Yuri later learns he has made a mistake.

After Kino Der Toten, Richtofen somehow ends up at Ascension. The characters hear Gerch, and manage to set him free.

Meanwhile, at the same time as Ascension, zombies are taking over the Pentagon. A piece of Intel reveals that the projects at Der Riese have been moved to the Pentagon.

Sometime later, the group is teleported to Siberia where George A. Romero is making a World War II movie about zombies. He stumbles across documents about Der Riese, and learns of the events that transpired there. He is however turned into a zombie and the cast is left to fight for there own. The cast (which includes Danny Trejo, Robert Englund, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Michael Rooker) then discovers Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai trapped behind a steel door. The cast the proceeds to give them the Golden Rod, part of Rictofen's grand scheme, and Richtofen and his super-soldiers are teleported to Shangri-La. There, they discover recordings of two explorers Brock and Gary. They find out that zombies inhabit the area and they are trapped. Richtofen proceeds to set them free and finds the focusing stone, another object that will help him control the zombies.

Richtofen then takes the group to Area 51 so they can teleport to the moon. He discovers it is overrun by zombies and they once again have to fight for their lives. They are, however, teleported to the moon, and discover that it to, is overrun by zombies. Richtofen then fuses the Golden Rod and the Focusing Stone together. He discovers Dr Maxis inside the terminal, who tries to stop him from completing his grand scheme. Richtofen the opens up the M.P.D. and swaps souls with Samantha. Tank, Nikolai, and Takeo regain their memories and help Samantha try to destroy Rictofen. They then blow up the Earth to lower the damage that Richtofen could do now that he is in controll of the zombies.
