    After he escapes the unnamed planet in Pitch Black he is captured by a merc ship known as Darkfury. 
On the merc ship he soon finds out that old lady that runs the ship is a death obsessed lunny who makes Riddick and Pitch Black survivers engage in a violent (and rigged) blood sport. After Riddick escapes the arena were he was expose to die the lady becomes upset and sends out manhunt to find riddick and his posse.
