A city in Fallout 3 that is built in the remains of an old aircraft carrier.
Overview
Rivet City is a massive American aircraft carrier that is beached on the shores of Washington DC, not too far from the Jefferson Memorial. It is broken in two, and connected to the mainland with a mechanical bridge. It is one of the most heavily defended and safest areas in Washington DC. It houses a large civilian and guard population, as well as an advanced science team. In Fallout 3, Rivet City serves as a focal point in the main quest, where the protaganist's father is conducting research into something called Project Purity, as well as being a place to find a few side-quests.Residents
