I've got about 25 Xbox 360 games on my shelf that I haven't touched. Let's see how many I can do in one sitting if I just play up to the first achievement. I'll be updating this post along the way.

I know I'm gonna have a hard time putting some of these down after the first achievement pops, but hopefully I'll stay the course and get a feel for most of them.

Game 1: Viva Piñata: TIP. First achievement 37 minutes in, for taking 10 photos. Seems like most of the "real" achievements would have taken too long. Man, I could have spent all day playing this game. It's starting to get its hooks into me pretty bad. So goooood.

Game 2: Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway, another colon game. First achievement 8 minutes in, "suppressive fire." Didn't really get much of an impression of the game, except the presentation seems really good. Liked the intro movie. Achievements seem to be structured to reward you as you learn the game. Just the way it should be.

Game 3: The Bourne Conspiracy. First achievement, 11 minutes for completing the first chapter. Super satisfying melee combat, haven't fired a weapon yet. This game should be a sweet action flick type ride. Highly polished, by the looks of it. Would really like to play some more.

Game 4: Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars
. Took 25 minutes to complete the Boot Camp. Seems pretty solid, I haven't played a C&C game since the first one in 1995, and I didn't get too into it back then. I definitely recognise the aesthetic, though.

Game 5: Amped 3. First bummer, achievment-wise. Early 360 title, no established achievement etiquette. Had to grind the build mode achievement for 30G after playing for 45 minutes and realising that it wasn't going to happen organically. Not a bad game, though. On any other day, I would have stuck it out.

Game 6: Prince of Persia. Wow, that was fast. 2:30 in - 10G, seemingly for watching the opening cinematic. This game looks gorgeous. Must play later. Almost feel sort of cheated now.

Game 7: Lego Indiana Jones. 20 minutes to finish the first level. I've played so much Lego Star Wars with my kid now that the Lego games are second nature to me. Love the Indy setting. I'll probably introduce it to junior sooner rather than later.

Game 8: Need For Speed Most Wanted. Man, that was a lot of work for 10G. It took 70 minutes to beat Sonny and get the first achievement. This game is old. Obviously rooted in earlier generations. The framerate is way too sluggish ever to get a decent sense of speed. I like that the cars have weight to them, though.

Game 9: Medal of Honor Airborne. Three achievements in three minutes, just getting pushed off the plane and trying to make the landing. Easy as pie. Got as far as firing my gun before i hit eject. Gun mechanics seem solid enough.

Game 10: Splinter Cell: Double Agent. I've never played a Splinter Cell game before, so the 6 minutes I spent in the training exercise were kinda baffling, really. Got an achievement, there's 40G more for completing the other training mission. Still, that's enough for today. Nearly half way through the pile.

Two "He did not just say that" quotes in 10 days from the EA side of the Titans War.

Feb 3: Concerning their new partnership with EA after Vivendi (Activision) dropped their rights to the license, Keith Boesky, representative of Robert Ludlum of Bourne Conspiracy fame, says: "We're dealing with grownups now."

Oh, snap, indeed. But wait, it gets better!

Feb 10: Activision decides not to publish Brutal Legend. EA decides to publish Brutal Legend. Activision threatens suing EA and developer Double Fine over Brutal Legend. But EA's not worried, telling Variety: "We doubt that Activision would try to sue. That would be like a husband abandoning his family and then suing after his wife meets a better looking guy."

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, SNAP!

After buying a PS3 this Christmas, I've been having fun with the games and online. Metal Gear Solid 4 was awesome I love the gameplay and Metal Gear Online. Resistance 2 was awesome as well, with such a thrilling multiplayer of up to 60 players online. I also liked co-operative mode. The Bourne Conspiracy was pretty cool and really felt like the movies. Uncharted was great with a good story and good characters with an Indiana Jones-feel. And finally Motor Storm was good. It was mostly fun to crash other drivers or yourself.

Oh and I removed all of my blog posts (except my first one) because I didn't feel like they were well-told.

Both Elliot Maslow (Lost: Via Domus) and Jason Bourne (The Bourne Conspiracy) are amnesiacs, so would make sensible off-the-cuff decisions based on the situation at hand without prior prejudice.
Plus, Elliot is a photographer, so could use pictures as evidence against other candidates to win, and failing that, Bourne could kick their asses to scare them out of competition.

Well guys, it's done. I have officially finished CoD 4 to completion. I've got all 1000/1000 achievement points for the game on the 360. Mile High Club took me like four freaking hours alone...but I did it!
Yes, I know the points are meaningless, but they prompt me to play a game in ways I never would otherwise. I know I've said it before...but still. Thanks to achievements, I played the game on Veteran and got so many more hours out of the singleplayer experience than I would have otherwise, and it challenged me in a good way. Though it was frustrating, it definitely sharpened my skills.
Awesomeness.
Awesomeness.

Call of Duty 4 was an amazing experience. I still have one more day that I'm going to use to play through some more multiplayer. I've got my online stats up to the 10th ranking now and we'll see how far I go with it. The system they have is rewarding and fun to play with. It's very addicting and part of me wishes I owned the game so I could keep coming back to it, but I must return it back to Gamefly. Hopefully I'll write up a review for it shortly.

Love/Hate relationships...
Love/Hate relationships...
I would also make a review for Castle Crashers, but I'm waiting for the patch to come out to give it a fair score. Without it's glitches I would definitely recommend it, but as my current version of Castle Crashers is literally unplayable, I would definitely un-recommend it. So I'm just waiting to give it a fair shake.

Anywho, the next game I'll be getting from Gamefly will either be Mercs 2 or The Bourne Conspiracy, depending on whether or not they have Mercs 2 in stock. Yea, I know the game is broken, but I'm just going into it hoping to have a bit of fun in Co-op. Oh, and earn some achievements too :D. Apparently, in co-op, one player can earn an achievement for both people playing. So theoretically two players can actually co-op their achievements or otherwise split the load. At least, that's what I heard. Anyone verify it? Anywho, that's about all that's goin on with me in the gaming world. Thanks for reading!

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
It's September. I feel happy because I have my PlayStation 3. I have played one demo (Uncharted: Drake's Fortune) and enjoyed it. I went through on easy and for 1.5 GB it sure did end quick! I decided to play on 'hard' and managed to get through that on the demo, too. It reminds me of The Bourne Conspiracy (shooting-wise) and Tomb Raider: Legend (environments, climbing). The story looks interesting and capturing.

The demo was good and I have now ordered myself a Platinum copy of it from Play.com. I was going to get MotorStorm for a very cheap price (another website) but they all sold out. Ah well. On the PlayStation Store, I purchased Theme Hospital (one of my favourite PC games) and have played it a little. The one thing I miss is the music but I understand it's a PlayStation port - not a PC port. I have played it back on the original console and still had good fun with it (don't have disc now).

So, that's enough chatter about the PlayStation 3. Now - video blogs. I'm thinking of doing some mini video blogs. Not sure where I am going but I like the idea of 12seconds.tv. You post updates in the form of a video (12 seconds) as if it were Twitter (text updates service). Of course, it's not enough for detailing experiences with games but I guess, I can use it to bring you brief updates every now and then. Saves reading, I guess. Here's my channel. Empty now but I may connect my Xbox LIVE Vision camera up and experiment with it.

EDIT: Oops. I need to get a microphone too (headset broke). More waiting, I guess but I'm no motion picture!

Ok i have decided on what games I will buy soon and what games I will wait to buy.

I have decided to spend my money on Mercanaries 2 when it comes out on August 31. As for Deadly Silence and Umbrella Chronicles, I have decided to wait till my birthday to get those. Even though umbrella chronicles looks sweet and deadly silence looks pretty good, I thought I would get a new PS3 game instead of a Wii or DS game so soon.

In other news Bad Company and Bourne Conspiracy are going good and I am hoping to beat them soon

Just a quick blog for today!
