    Overview

    Robot Entertainment is a game studio formed by many of the original founders of Ensemble Studios, after they were shut down by Microsoft. They currently have a staff of 45, comprised primarily of former Ensemble employees. Robot Entertainment worked with Microsoft Game Studios to develop additional content for Halo Wars and support online gaming and community for both Age of Empires and Halo Wars.

    On October 5th, 2011, the company released Orcs Must Die! on Xbox Live Arcade. The PC release arrived on October 12th of the same year.

    A month later, on November 17th, Robot Entertainment announced their next project, Hero Academy. This tile-based strategy game was released on January 11th, 2012.

    A sequel to Orcs Must Die! entitled Orcs Must Die! 2 was announced on the 2nd of April 2012, and arrived later that year on July 30th as a PC exclusive.
