Previously announced, but the prices are up.  $20 for the pack, and the songs will be out for the Wii as well.  The live tracks are new, so I'm going to check youtube to see how they sound before buying.  Realistically, I'll probably only get Run To The Hills, since my nephews liked it when I had RB1 and The Trooper because I really liked it in GH2.  I'm not good enough at drums for any of these songs, and Maiden just cramps up my hand on guitar.

    "Hey gang,

Sorry for the delay in getting this posted here in the forums. The entire Community Team was in LA for E3 last week, and since we had already announced this ridiculously awesome Iron Maiden DLC two weeks ago we forgot to repost it officially. Here's all the news you should need.

    2 Minutes to Midnight - Powerslave (1984)

The Number of the Beast - The Number of the Beast (1982)

The Clairvoyant - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (1988)
    Powerslave - Powerslave (1984)
Fear of the Dark (live) - Flight 666 (2009)
Hallowed Be Thy Name (live) - Flight 666 (2009)
    Iron Maiden (live) - Flight 666 (2009)

I have to say I didn't expect an Iron Maiden pack. I had this idea that it would be impossible or in the far off future when I no longer cared about Rock Band. But now that it's coming tomorrow I'm psyched as hell. It's a pretty solid group of songs or at least everything I would want from an Iron Maiden pack. "The Trooper", "2 Minutes to Midnight", "Powerslave", "Wasted Years"- it's going to be awesome. Fuck yes indeed!

My only problem with the pack is the live version of "Hallowed Be Thy Name". If they had to pick one Iron Maiden song, this would be it. Unfortunately, it's not the studio version. I found the Flight 666 version on YouTube... and it's okay I guess.  It makes me wonder how Harmonix decides which songs end up being live versions. I guess it's because they got "Number of the Beast" and "Run to the Hills" up there and that suggests to me they could have done the album version of "Hallowed Be Thy Name" if they felt like it. This is a minor nitpick to be sure, and I'm just thankful they managed to snag some Iron Maiden. Still, when huge announcements get dropped like this, it seems like there's always a tiny catch.

    Still, Iron Maiden- fuck yes.

I never liked that you can hear the bassist in Iron maiden. What are they, a bluegrass band? Also the vocalist sounds funny.

    Haha, that made me laugh.

It was supposed to be funny, right? Because, good sir, you do not mess with Bruce Dickinson.

I really hope that his post was a joke. Or someone is going to find themselves being hit by a plane piloted by Bruce Dickinson.

Recently, they only released one Elvis Costello song, "Radio Radio" I think it was. But no, they haven't released a pack yet.

Added the Wii tracks for this year in the original post.  Charlene's free.  Personally, of that batch, I like the Disturbed tracks and Date With the Night.

This is awesome, except for the fact that I just bought the cover version of Number of the Beast, since I thought they weren't going to release a masters track. And yet, they did. Still, this is just way too fantastic.

Awesome!  I'm picking up 2 Minutes To Midnight, The Trooper, Run to the Hills, Number of the Beast, and Powerslave...get the rest later since I spent some points already.

I wonder if Run to the Hills will be red star on Vocals as well as everything else (Band, Guitar, Drums, Bass)...Bruce Dickinson has one crazy voice.  Hope so!  Just have to wait and see.

Had fun playing this today, all very enjoyable songs to play on both guitar and bass - will try drums out another time. By far the best track pack so far and definitely worth the points even if you're not a huge Maiden fan.

Hell yeah, I played Guitar a lot on these songs and I also had a blast playing Vocals...If it weren't for some of the talkies on Rtth, it would have been red star vocals too but it still is a pretty challenging song to sing.  I have trouble on The Trooper cause when he does the Ohs I sound it out like him but for some reason it doesn't give it, I have to change my pitch and it doesn't even sound like the song.  Everything else I do fine though.
