I just plugged my noise canceling headphones in to play Rock Band and it was awesome. I didn't realize how much the click-clacking of the drums bother me until I tried the headphones. It feels more like I'm playing the music then just a fake plastic drum kit. Anyways just thought I would come on and recommend it.

    Peace.

This is a really good idea, actually. How do you plug the headphones in? Your television has a jack for headphones?

My t.v. does have a headphone jack but the speaker system I have set up does also. And it happens to be next to where I sit so my headphone cord is just long enough.

Playing drums (Rock Band or real ones) with noise cancelling headphones make everything sound great.

Wow, I've definitely got to try this. Don't think I have any headphones that have a long enough cable, but I've been needing to buy new headphones anyway.

This is random but how do you plug your headset onto your Rock Band 2 drums?? Are you supposed to have a special cable to attact it to? Cause my headset cable won't hook up to anything...I'd play drums A LOT more often if I can actually use my headset cause to be honest, I think they're the funnest instruments to play but I always talk to people on XBL.

If I recall correctly, the Rock Band 1 bundle came with a special connector cable that hooked up your Xbox Live wired mic to the drums/guitar (there's a little hole on both of them to plug it into). I don't think the RB2 bundle came with them, and I'm not sure where exactly you can get them separately.

The newer wired headsets actually come with a new input, so you don't need to the special connector found in the RB1 bundle. However, any older headsets and you have to use a special connector.

Yeah, I assumed I needed a special connector to hook it up.  I do have the older headset so I might as well try finding a special connector.  Anyways thanks for the info guys.

Most games are better with headphones especially if you have good ones! The only thing that beats it is a kick-ass speaker system but then you still have the clack of the drums!

I agree - I always drum with headphones on now - I'm using Turtlebeach X3s if anyone needs a reccomendaton, wireless headphones that broadcast the game audio out of the headset.
