I view it as a more active way of listening to music, I also really love making characters in the game and watching them perform.
Or do you view as your really rocking out for real, imagining your self on stage and stuff like that.
Rock Band 2
Game » consists of 7 releases. Released Sep 14, 2008
Harmonix, MTV Games, and EA return with the sequel to Rock Band. Rock Band 2 ships with 84 on-disc songs, 20 free downloadable songs, compatibility with all DLC, and the ability to import most songs from the first Rock Band.
How do you view rockband?
One of the reasons I really love Rock band is it's ability to introduce me to a wide variety of music I had never heard of before. Every week new DLC comes, out and whether or not I buy it doesn't really matter because I always at least check it out and learn what it's about. Anyways, that's just one of the many awesome things about Rock Band.
It's a great music game that has a very awesome stream of DLC and doesn't make a game every 6 months.
its a music rhythm game with some really forgiveable flaws like horribly repetitive career modes..although 2 lets you do waaay more "make a setlist" sets the tour in RB1 was a horrible, horrible slog.
I put 100% into every performance...even when i'm by myself!
...unless its that aerosmith song about a train...fuck that song
I love Rock Band. I feel that it is a great way to have fun with friends. I think the more you get in to it the more fun it is. One thing I have never really been in to is the whole full combo quest stuff. I just don't have the desire to perfect songs that way. I play a great variety of the songs and I don't really memorize them very well.
What a coincidence, I'm playing it right now! (Well actually we just finished a set list and we're taking a quick break). I just view it as a great game to play with friends and everyone's working for a common goal instead of against each other so there's no real pressure or animosity created.
The only thing I don't really care for is how the Endless setlist crams all the super hard (and more often than not bad-sounding) songs at the end when everyone just wants to get it over with >.> Songs like "Visions" just aren't fun to play for the average player -_- I do like the song by Dream Theater that's like the second-to-last song on the list, but it's like 8 minutes long! Having to play such an crazy long song at the end of 3 hour + set is just like "Please let the hurting stop..." ; ;
Haha, the bane of my RB1 self."...unless its that aerosmith song about a train...fuck that song "

It has introduced me to a countless number of music, and really has just encouraged me to start searching for new music on my own will.
And yes, I do occasionally like to fantasize my little fake avatar guy actually wrote the songs he plays.
I'm not into the whole plastic instrument thing (sorry, just not my thing). If I can do something in real life I'd rather do it in real life, I mean the Beatles Rock Band looks cool and all being a huge Beatles fan, but I can already play almost every Beatles song on a real guitar.
I don't like it when people take Rock Band too seriously. I never play Rock Band for the high score or to see if I can get 5-stars, I play it simply to have fun. It's fun to imagine you're on stage, but it's not like I'm thinking I'm as good as a real guitarist, or even caring if I'm as good... I just simply like to fake like I'm in a band, since I'll probobly never be in a real band, and with Rock Band, that's what I do.
Rock Band, Guitar Hero and the Wii are a blight on the video game industry. I cant wait for their respective fads to get over and their owners to stop peddling their crap to the brainwashed masses.
" It has introduced me to a countless number of music, and really has just encouraged me to start searching for new music on my own will. This in a nutshell. Rock Band has introduced me to so much music, and I can definitely say I wouldn't love it as much as I do if it weren't for Rock Band.
Hell, when I tell someone one of my favorite albums has become Doolittle, everyone gives me odd looks when I sit them down and have them try to listen to it.
" @Fallen189 said:I was overrun my too many awesome emotions at once :P" It's not really for me, I don't see the fun in them. The only rhythm game for me is EBA. Was RB BORRRRRRRRRRRRRN IN A HURRICANE? "DON'T YOU MEAN CROSSFIRE HURRICANE BLAT-BLAT-BLAT-BLAT! BLAT-BLAT-BLAT-BLAT! "
" It's a really, really fun game that has awesome music. "Pretty much. I love Rock Band and its sequel and I will probably love The Beatles: RB. I view them as an extension of music as well as video games. Playing it has now influenced me to take up drumming which I am....not that good at.
