I heard you will be able to download all RB 1 Disc songs for free, is that true? Also what about the extra 20 DLC songs?

as i understand it you get all of your rb1 songs for rb2 but you need to use your disc to xfer them over/verify you bought rb1 though you could easily get your hands on a friends copy

I heard that not all tracks would be included due to licensing issues. Apparently they had to relicense all the tracks from the first game but some artists have exclusive deals with other games like guitar hero. My guess is that Enter Sandman will be one the tracks that won't be able to be exported

If that guess if based on exclusivity, then it's flawed. Metallica has a song (Battery) in Rock Band 2, so they are not exclusive to Guitar Hero. And nothing is official yet, so who knows? Maybe we end up getting all of the tracks (however that's doubtful)."

yeah TKaR isnt going to transfer since i believe they are exclusive to GH as of now

Roscone, they had to optimize these songs to work in all the new modes in Rock Band 2... That was a lot of work... You can't just pay 5 bucks or less and be happy?

oh, also, The_Icon, I heard that this transfer stuff is only confirmed for X360 so far... so it wouldn't matter if you had PSN cards or not...
they'll most likely confirm it for ps3 eventually too...

There was an update released yesterday for the 360 that will allow us to export the rb1 tracks for a fee. Enter Sandman is on the not list, I knew it!

Dammit ... I really wanted to transfer Run to the Hills and Enter Sandman...

And it especially pisses me off that despite none of these bands not making the transition are exclusive to GH yet we still get the Aerosmith cover...

I'm just mad that we don't get to keep Paranoid. :(

I can do without both RTTH and Enter Sandman; not a fan of either song/band.

Despite leaving out three tracks I think it's pretty awesome Harmonix is giving us this option.
