MTV Games and Harmonix issued the New Year's DLC info early this week, and it looks pretty sweet.

Snow Patrol - "Take Back The City"
    Deep Purple - "Space Truckin'"
    James Gang - "Funk #49"
    Jethro Tull - "Hymn 43"

I myself am a huge Jethro Tull fan, and that is an awesome song.  James Gang's is also a good classic rock song, same with Deep Purple.  I am not personally a fan of Snow Patrol, but I am interested in them and this is probably a good song.

In addition, news of Roy Orbison going to Rock Band was announced today, and no specific songs were announced.  CMT.com released the info, but they are owned by MTV, so this should be true.  I like Roy too, though he may be too 60's or classic for the core RB audience. My favorite song of his is "Crying", but that would not be a song I would want to play on Rock Band lol.

Darn, I was hoping to get lucky and get some Incubus as a late Christmas present. :P

I'll check out the Deep Purple and Jethro Tull songs. Aqualung is a good song, and Deep Purple ain't bad either.

    Never heard of Roy Orbison.

Never heard of Roy Orbison? Well, you probably heard of the song "Oh, Pretty Woman" right? That's him.

Knew you would come around. Yep, and that song better be one of the songs in the pack.

Can't wait for Space Truckin'! I've been waiting for that song since they put Highway Star out in RB1.

The Roy Orbision DLC sounds awesome too.

Indeed, and very underrated. I rarely hear it on the radio; actually, I rarely hear Jethro Tull on any classic rock stations.  Bad form I guess.
