Recently my rock band guitar crapped out on me and its time to replace it. I used a warbeast because the guitars that come with the game are too short and are quite uncomfortable.

Looking at amazon for the same price as a replacement warbeast i could get a pro mustang.

My question is: is it worth it? Can i use it for songs without a pro- guitar part? What have been your experiences?

You can use it for songs without pro guitar parts but its really quite awkward. You'd be better off replacing the guitar with another Guitar Hero or Rock Band guitar if you don't want to play pro guitar.
