Rock Band 4
Game » consists of 2 releases. Released Oct 06, 2015
An installment of the band-focused rhythm game for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Focusing on the core vocals, drums, guitar, and bass instruments, Rock Band 4 offers a new set of on-disc songs while supporting players' existing DLC libraries.
Rock Band 4 Song Wishlist
It's still baffling to me that none of U2's stuff ever ended up in Guitar Hero or Rock Band. They're immensely popular and they're a 4 piece band (with the same instruments as GH and RB).
I'd love to see anything from them in the game. 2nd choice would be Led Zeppelin, but I doubt that ever happens.
Owner of a Lonely Heart by Yes
Peg by Steely Dan
Killer Queen by Queen
Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins
Too Late by Foreigner
Sick Muse by Metric
Something from Nothing by The Foo Fighters
I'm positive your 1st 3rd 5th and 7th are DLC already.
@thepullquotes: Oh, alright then. Great. Have to admit I stopped caring about RB3 dlc pretty early on. Too Late is not though, a bunch of other Foreigner songs are.
All Metallica from Kill em All - ...and justice for all (pipe dream I have had since 2005 and no GH: Metallica doesn't count)
Being able to rip songs from Beatles: Rock Band.
Off the top of my head, didn't double check to see if they are already in a game...
The Black Keys - Howlin for You
The Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescent
Billy Talent - Hanging By A Thread (or maybe Swallowed Up by the Ocean)
Faith No More - Midlife Crisis (or anything else)
Black Sabbath masters.
Also, Cut Me Some Slack off the Sound City Soundtrack. (A song fronted by Paul McCartney backed by the surviving members of Nirvana.)
Finally, I put in a request for MouseRat from Parks & Recreation, but I doubt that would actually happen.
I'd get a real kick out something like Acid Bath - Scream of the Butterfly.
The Donnas should be on there. Something like Revolver, or Take It Off or Skintight would be a lot of fun.
More Sonic Youth than just the one track would have been nice.
I always felt that metal was kind of under-represented, but then I guess I mean "metal I like" rather than metalcore. I suppose I really mean doom and sludgey stuff. Down, Crowbar, Eyehategod. Man, doing vocals on Eyehategod songs could be fun.
Clutch were one of those groups that always felt perfect for this sort of game but were missed out.
They had 3 Stooges tracks but I'd dig some more older garage rock/proto-punk jams like Strychnine by The Sonics, MC5 - Kick Out The Jams, that sorta thing.
I haven't played since 2 came out, so maybe it already exists. Andrew W.K. I get wet album could be really fun to shout in parties.
Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja - Lostprophets.
Ha! After the stuff with their singer you're NEVER getting that.
As for songs I'd like to see. Almost everything I ever wanted appeared in on the discs or as DLC. I'd really like a little more Chicago this time, maybe try and get some Guns N Roses... The songs everyone wants. As long as I can play the whole of Screaming for Vengeance and The Glory of Love again, I'll be super happy.
Midlife Crisis was on disc for Rock Band 3, Epic was on disc for Rock Band 1 and We Care a Lot & From Out of Nowhere are DLC.
I Appear Missing - Queens Of The Stone Age
Arabella - Arctic Monkeys
The Draize Train - The Smiths
Transmission - Joy Division
Africa - Toto
Human Sadness - Julian Casablancas & The Voidz
Cruel - St Vincent
Fluffy - Wolf Alice
The House That Heaven Built - Japandroids
Maquiladora - Radiohead
@onemanarmyy: They already added This Charming Man as DLC. It was one of the few songs where I felt like the difficulty description was wrong.
Ah cool, i didn't play the rockband games before so i don't know what's available already. It just seemed like a song that's enjoyable and contains a fun to play guitar melody.
I'll switch my wishlist to The Smiths - Draize Train :D
@onemanarmyy: r u mine is dlc pal
@kasaioni: They did end up adding some Depeche Mode stuff during the end of the DLC. I would have loved that song or Barrel of a gun.

I don't know what's already been in a Rock Band game.
Depeche Mode - I Feel You
Great suggestion! My votes would be for anything by U2 from Achtung Baby and beyond (though some stuff from War would be cool) and anything by Zeppelin. Those are both pipe dreams, I know. Oh, and more Journey. Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) perhaps?
It's a bummer that keyboards aren't going to be supported for RB4... I guess I can understand their definition of the "core" RB experience, but what's wrong with the keyboard?
is it confirmed that the keyboard wont be utilized in rock band 4? I'd love to see a band like The War on Drugs make it into rockband, but they're pretty synth heavy.
Either way, there a shit ton of lesser known bands that make amazing music that would fit perfectly with rock band. I know a core aspect of rock band has always been about classic/popular music, but I think that these smaller bands would fit in well with harmonix's current vision for the series.
Also, I'd love to see crystal castles in amplitude. I hope it does well so they can go after getting licences like that.
Type O Negative - Black No. 1 would be an incredibly fun song.
Yeah. As my user icon indicates, I'd be down with any and all Type O Negative
Weird Al and Nightwish, dunno what songs, too many to choose from
Weird Al was going to be on RBN before RBN (and really the whole Microsoft-supported infrastructure behind it) fell apart. I know Nature Trail To Hell and Hardware Store were suggested by the author. Too bad.
Nightwish does have one release (Amaranth) from a few years ago.
I'll go by albums since that is easier - these will also work well for Guitar Hero as well if Activision ever brings that back.
- Kill em All and Master of Puppets by Metallica
- Peace Sells, Rust in Peace, and Countdown to Extinction by Megadeth
- Ixnay on the Hombre, Smash, Americana and Ignition by The Offspring
- Octavarium, Images and Words, and Awake by Dream Theater
- Out of Oblivion by Ethan Brosh
- Passion and Warfare, and Alien Love Secrets by Steve Vai
- Anything from Van Halen 1 or Van Halen 2
- Anything from Steel Panther (I would by the game just for this)
- Anything from 80's era Dokken
- Anything from "classic era" Iron Maiden
- Anything from "classic era" AC/DC
Type O Negative - Black No. 1 would be an incredibly fun song.
Yeah. As my user icon indicates, I'd be down with any and all Type O Negative
... I never made that connection with your avatar, despite being a huge fan, haha. But yeah, we got a Fab Four game, so a Drab Four follow-up would only make sense. And if the success of the Souls series is any indication, Slow, Deep and Hard games are the in thing right now. :P
Another band I'd like to see in the game is Abney Park, but that's probably a bit much to ask unless they surprise us with a violin peripheral. But they could put out Airship Pirates and I would never need to buy another RB DLC. (that goes for you too, karaoke bars... I'm not going to be the asshole that brings his own CD+Gs, but I've been tempted at times)
Pink Floyd - Young Lust, Money (with the bonus saxophone peripheral)
David Bowie - Queen Bitch, Fascination, Starman
Talking Heads - Road to Nowhere (also utilizes the saxophone), Pull Up the Roots, Houses in Motion
Radiohead - Jigsaw Falling Into Place
Pixies - The Happening
The Rolling Stones - Rip This Joint, Bitch, Stop Breaking Down
Sonic Youth - Rain King, Dirty Boots, Hey Joni
TV on the Radio - Staring at the Sun
Modest Mouse - Dramamine
Fleetwood Mac - The Chain, Go Your Own Way, Dreams
Blondie - Heart of Glass, One Way or Another
And for godsake some Zeppelin
I haven't played since 2 came out, so maybe it already exists. Andrew W.K. I get wet album could be really fun to shout in parties.
This same thought crossed my mind today while listening to We Want Fun on the way home.
Where's Thin Lizzy and Led Zeppelin!? They need to tell all the rights holders for these old bands to get off their high horses and let drunk frat boys fuck up their guitar solos already.
@kanerobot: Yeah, but more Nightwish would always be welcome.
