    That was my initial reaction as well...not sure The Who have enough well-known music to justify an entire game based on them in the "spirit" of the Beatles: Rock Band.

    Now, Zeppelin on the other hand...

    It's not happening, man. Just like when Green Day thought they were getting their own band. If The Who hadn't already released the majority of their best songs as DLC, I might believe that this could happen. However, since most of The Who fans will already have those songs, really... what's the point?

    Nah. Maybe you don't like them, but there are a ton of other great great songs and there is a reason why many people refer to them as "The Greatest Band Ever".

    Why won't Harmonix and Neversoft stop with all the guitar games? They're making me pine for the days when the market was flooded with WW2 FPSes. Saying that makes me pine for a game where you kill Hitler with bitchin' guitar solos.

    There was a time when people were saying give up hope on The Beatles ever coming to Rock Band or Guitar Hero! My hope has been energized for at least another few years thanks to the awesomeness that is B:RB.

    All of the Who songs that you would want are already up for download. There is no need for this, UNLESS it's a track pack. I hope it is.

    I strongly disagree with that, Sunny. There are some key tracks from Quadrophenia (The Real Me), The Who Sell Out (all of it), Tommy (Overture/It's a Boy), My Generation (the original version of the song), and many more. In fact, if they just had those albums (as well as all of Who's Next), I would be ecstatic. I like this idea; sweet deal you got here Harmonix.

    this is coming from someone not a huge beatles fan: the only group that it'll work for the way that Rock Band does it is the Beatles.

    No other band has been THAT BIG
    no other band immediately gets you cool with the entire world if you like it
    and they just have an interesting career arc anyways and varying styles of music. i think it's pretty dumb that they'd do it again. it destroys the idea that the Beatles were special to them in any way, and the who is not as big as the beatles.

    Doors would be awesome, not quite as awesome as Zeppelin though. I'd take either one of those over The Who. Not to say they don't have good music, but I haven't ever thought to myself "Wow I wish I The Who would get their own Rockband game..."

    The best choice of band for this type of game would be Led Zeppelin, but since they're so uptight about where and how their music is used, the next best choice would be The Who.  Their music would be much more fun to fakeplay than that of the Beatles.  A Rolling Stones game would also be pretty cool.
    But...the absolute best would be M-rated The Roots: Rap Band.  Over a decade's worth of great music, including Jay-Z: Unplugged. They could even incorporate the DJ Hero turntable, but the lack of a keyboard peripheral might be a problem...

    For everyone that says there are already all the Who songs you would ever want, I disagree. Trust me there are plenty more! Besides this will probably just end up as a track pack like the planned Pearl Jam game and the AC/DC pack. Then again the story of The Who is actually really interesting. They could do plenty of interesting things with Tommy and Quadrophenia.

    Bob Dylan? His career has been insane enough to make it a really varied game. This will never ever happen though since Bob Dylan is a crotchety old man who has probably never even seen a video game. I can dream though.

    @CitizenKane: hell. yes.
    the only time i've ever actually wanted Rock Band was because a local radio station was giving away a Rush signed copy.
