I've been hoping for Incubus, who had a song in Guitar Hero II for download (Stellar), but there hasn't been any hints at this. :( I'm really hoping for most of the songs from S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
Rage Against the Machine would also be very fun, although I'd only take masters from them. No way I'm sitting through another horrid cover...the censorship might also ruin some of the songs, such as Guerrilla Radio. ;)
Oh, and you can never have too much Rush.
Rock Band
Game » consists of 13 releases. Released Nov 20, 2007
Rock Band expands on the concepts Harmonix established in its Guitar Hero franchise by allowing players to play guitar, bass, drums, and sing to a variety of songs from various sub-genres and time periods.
Most Wanted DLC Bands/Songs
I believe Harmonix said there was a problem concerning the master tracks for Iron Maiden. I don't listen to them, so I don't really mind if they don't get any future DLC, but I would most certainly check it out if they did.
Yes, they would. It would probably please a few more people for bass too since it often follows the guitar part.
I'd like to see Know Your Enemy, Freedom, and Guerrilla Radio (if it was left uncensored).
Anything by Tool but I seem to sense they would be unwilling to contribute any songs of theirs. That is simply based on the fact that they haven't been in any games that I know of and according to my friends....they aren't even on iTunes. : O
Whoa, that's strange, I didn't know they weren't on iTunes. : \
People have been requesting them for ages...I'm guessing Harmonix is having a hard time nabbing them like you said.
More Weezer and AC/DC, personally. Weezer has some reaaaal good songs that you could sing and are generally more on the "groove" side, while with AC/DC you could totally go all out with the solos and the drum solos and the vocal solos and more solos!
And, I wouldn't mind some OLP on there :)
More Chili Peppers would be nice. Definitely their older stuff, though. I like the new stuff fine, but the older is better. And I would LOVE more Coheed and Cambria. :D
But again, I think they should add some bands we haven't heard from yet.
Sorry, denshuu, that is exactly what I said. :P
Realistically, I think that The Hold Steady would be the best choice for DLC. Their music is very straight forward traditional rock and roll. The only problem is that there are a few (thousand) references to drinking and drugs. Seriously, though, listen to The Hold Steady.
"I'd like to see some Linkin Park, and I wonder if they're still planning on releasing Nevermind?I don't believe they ever officially confirmed they would even release Nevermind.
"
Zeppelin and Pink Floyd for the classic rocks not included yet I want. I'm finally happy about AC/DC going to Rock Band 2.
For newer music, The White Stripes, Green Day, Korn, System of A Down (which is coming to RB2), The Vines. Every other newer it seems like they got have in either game or DLC.

I've also been really digging Mastodon's "Blood Mountain" album recently... Colony of Birchmen is going to be awesome in RB2. Wouldn't mind seeing that entire album.
Have to say both titles have been missing some joe satriani but i hear one of them is getting a nice fix of it, sadly i cant remember which one(yes my memory is useless) But other than that id love to see some of the older megadeth stuff hit one of the games. stuff like set the world afire or rust in peace and the duke nukem theme would be amazing.
"Anything by Tool but I seem to sense they would be unwilling to contribute any songs of theirs. That is simply based on the fact that they haven't been in any games that I know of and according to my friends....they aren't even on iTunes.I would love tool in RB, but i feel like they wouldn't want their music to be taken so lightly in a video game. Maynard seems to keep his music far away from mainstream (no itunes, no videos on tv)
"
Creep and My Iron Lung just aren't enough! Bring on more Radiohead. That said, I'd love to see some Cure and Pink Floyd as well (I actually drifted off to sleep last night dreaming of the notes for Comfortably Numb...how sad is that?).
I'd love to see some Matt Good come about. It would have to be some songs from Matthew Good Band, as everything he's done on his own wouldn't quite be as well placed in Rock Band. There are plenty of songs from Beautiful Midnight that would be great, maybe not incredibly challenging solo but would be great with a band.
"I would like to see some Rage Against the Machine as well, many of the songs would be amazing for drums.Testify will be in Rock Band 2, which technically isn't DLC but who cares?
"
I would kill to get some Mindless Self Indulgence in there. I would also like to see some Protest The Hero, My Chemical Romance, Mute Math, and Bullet for my Valentine.
also, MORE MUSE!!!
