    Alright guys,

K-Mart is selling the Rock Revolution drum kit + game for $17 (and the stand-alone game for $20, go figure). Is that still too much, or is it worth a go? I recently picked up GH: Aerosmith at the same K-Mart for $9, and felt I got my money's worth (it is just classic GH with new songs, after all, I consider it cheap DLC). Now I'm curious to try out RR, if just to see how bad it is.

Is it wise to invest that money on another huge-ass drum kit? Is it environmentally ethical to buy another huge piece of plastic only with the intent of throwing it away a few months down the line? Has any one PLAYED the game and can give a more in-depth assessment of it than 'It sucks"?

    Thanks!

    Jeff's Review Said:

I kept looking for something in Rock Revolution that would redeem it and justify its existence. It's $10 cheaper than the average 360 and PlayStation 3 release. But $50 is still probably $30 too much for a game that comes off as a low-budget title.
So, by that, yeah, I guess so. Although don't expect it to be anywhere near the quality of GH or RB.

@JakJ: I personally wouldn't buy it because it is a shitty game and I don't like having large plastic drum kits in my house if I'm not going to have any desire to use them.

Sadly, I wouldn't even say its worth $17. If you want to try it to see how bad it is I'd recommend renting it.

I could have got it a few months ago for $10(without the drum kit) and I chose to get Quantum of Solace for $10 instead.

@JakJ: No. Use that money toward a good game or for DLC on existing good games.

Yes it was new but unfortunately it was only for one weekend in April at Best Buy or I would have gone back and have gotten more games they had for only $10.

I wonder if at some point, people at Konami ever thought this was a good idea to make this product?

In a pinch, the drum kit can work as a great makeshift TV tray, suitable for eating all types of food while sitting in front of a television!

Considering each drum head is a kind of seperate compartment I see where you're going with this.

Haha, that'll be the day - a girl who only costs $17 to take on a date. You haven't been hanging around with those whores again have you Steve? ;D

if the boy wants to take a trip to craigslist, yes, he can spend $150 on a date. You can easily drive a girl to a Jollys or perhaps a theater for $20 or less, depending on your location.

My friend, it is hard to get two people into a movie theater for $20 now, let alone go out to eat as well. The more I think about how expensive all this shit is, the more I'm inclined to just buy the goddamn thing if only to laugh at. It's not like we're talking either-or here (even though if my date DOES see that RR drum set in the apt it probably will be our last date XD)
