Toss up between Bully and The Warriors.

#6 Posted by yinstarrunner (1185 posts) -

Really liked San Andreas.  Bully is a close second since it's setting was so uniquely awesome.

Bully

Max Payne 1 and 2. Red Dead is quickly becoming an all-time favourite though.

Wow, I forgot they did The Warriors.  I had never seen that movie until I played that game.  Both are great.
But, Bully is by far my favorite.
#14 Posted by Animasta (14667 posts) -

#15 Posted by ThePhantomnaut (6197 posts) -

This.

I haven't played Bully or gotten more then 3 hours into GTA4. With that said easily RDR. Seems a lot of people really like Bully though so I might have to gamefly it.

#18 Posted by inkeiren (989 posts) -

Red Dead Redemption. I was expecting more of that in this thread.

#19 Posted by cohmafia (13 posts) -

Max Payne 2

Haven't played much of GTA IV but the little I have played has been very fun.

#20 Posted by C0V3RT (1377 posts) -

Glad to see Bully getting some love.
#21 Posted by BeachThunder (11794 posts) -

Does Lemmings count?

#22 Posted by Godlyawesomeguy (6396 posts) -

Grand Theft Auto IV or Max Payne (1 or 2).

#23 Posted by OldChili (12 posts) -

Max Payne and Max Payne 2.

Too bad Max Payne 3 looks awful.

bully has one of the best settings i've ever seen in a game.

RDR is a western
#26 Posted by xyzygy (9935 posts) -

I really liked Bully. I even S-Ranked it :P But I'd have to say RDR is a bit better.

How much of RDR have you played? Not being confrontational, just wondering.

The setting is the thing I liked least about RDR. I do not like westerns. It really had to be a game that is great in every other aspect to win me over. I prefer the settings of all other Rockstar games. Every single one. I like RDR because of the gameplay, graphics, soundtrack, voice acting, and characters.

Never played Bully but so far it's Red Dead Redemption.

#29 Posted by The_Big_Rough (224 posts) -

Max Payne 1 and 2 for sure.

tho Bully would not be that far behind.

I haven't played any of it, actually. A good and imaginative setting is more important the graphics, the soundtrack (bully has a better one, probably), or the voice acting. I'm honestly just shitting on it because people keep hyping it up, but it's still a post GTAIV Rockstar game... I don't really expect much from it when I do play it.

and of course bully had a slingshot and this weird launcher thing and also panty raaaaaaids.

Having not got my hands on Red Dead Redemption yet, for me it's a toss-up between Canis Canem Edit (Bully) and Grand Theft Auto IV. Both absolutely fantastic video games

#32 Posted by Aleryn (704 posts) -

Red Dead Redemption.  Before that it was GTA3 and Manhunt.  Never really liked any other Rockstar games.  Vice City was fun for the bikes, and not much else.

Vice City and the Bully

#34 Posted by fuzzyponken (694 posts) -

GTA (1) was fairly awesome in its day. I wasted a good chunk of my life playing that game. However, I believe Vice City takes it.

Vice City

#36 Posted by CaptainObvious (2996 posts) -

Red Dead Redemption. That's the only one I've beaten.

#37 Posted by sharma55 (458 posts) -

Max Payne series, Red Dead Redemption, GTA 3 onwards.

#38 Posted by BeepBeepBoop (95 posts) -

My fondest memories are of Vice City, loved the whole 80s thing. But in truth all rockstar games that I have played have delivered.

Also are we counting Max Payne 1 and 2? Seeing as they weren't actually developed by Rockstar, only published.

#39 Posted by Shirogane (3566 posts) -

Was gonna say San Andreas or Red Dead Redemption, but it's been brought to my attention that Max Payne counts as a Rockstar game? Hmm...
#40 Posted by Gizmo (5389 posts) -

GTA IV

#41 Edited by Rhaknar (5939 posts) -

GTA 3, but then again its the only that I played till the end. And Bully. But from what I've seen of RDR it will probably be my fave.

Do the Max Paynes even count? Remedy made them

#42 Posted by Carcharias (83 posts) -

So far, definitely San Andreas.

I'm pretty sure it'll be RDR once i've played it, though.

#43 Posted by Jaqen_HGhar (877 posts) -

Top five:
1: Red Dead Redemption
2: Bully
3: Vice City
4: GTAIV
5: San Andreas

RDR

#45 Posted by Dad_Is_A_Zombie (1225 posts) -

GTA: Vice City.

#46 Posted by ProfessorEss (7308 posts) -

GTA3.

Red Dead Redemption may have over taken it but it's still too new and fresh - I'll see how I feel about it in a year or so.

#47 Posted by tranquilchaos (573 posts) -

RDR for sure.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City:
Great soundtrack and a lot cool interesting characters + a ton of references to tv shows and movies makes this an awesome game experience.

A close second whould have to be Bully or Canis Canem Edit as we call it here in Europe.
