Career
Initially aspiring to be a stand-up comic, Roger used to perform during college. During a comedy festival try out, whilst he was being evaluated, he was complimented for the strength and articulation of his voice, more over his actual comedic talent, and was asked who represented Roger for his voice-over work. Roger simply replied ''nobody'', and then soon gave up his aspirations for stand-up and went into voice work. Primarily narrating commercials and small bit-roles in video games and animation (along with an uncredited role in SIREN Blood Curse as Sam Monroe), Roger's big break arrived with Assassins Creed 2 in 2009 providing the voice of the titular character Ezio Auditore Da Firenze - a role for which he carried through the two sequels, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood and Assassins Creed: Revelations.
Chris Redfield is Roger's other largest claim-to-fame, which he began with Resident Evil 5 and has continued the mantel through proceeding Resident Evil games: Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, Resident Evil: Revelations, and Resident Evil 6. Roger also provided the voice-over for Chris in Marvel vs Capcom 3 and its Ultimate iteration. Chris Redfield wasn't Roger's gateway into Resident Evil, however, as he voiced Billy Coen in the 2007 Umbrella Chronicles retelling of Resident Evil Zero. He also starred in 2008's straight-to-DVD release Resident Evil: Degeneration as antagonist Curtis Miller.
Outside of video games, Roger's most prominent role is that of Captain America across multiple Marvel animation TV series (whom he also voiced in Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth), and has starred in numerous Anime, including such big hitters like Naruto.
Roger made his big-screen debut with Disney's big-budget Cars spin-off, Planes, as antagonist Ripslinger.
Trivia
When practising his Italian accent for the role of Ezio, Roger would first speak with a Spanish accent to ease him into eventually tackling Italian. Roger has also joked during interviews that when he speaks Italian as Ezio, he is mostly aiming for a Spanish accent over an Italian one.
