Rollar Coastar Tycoon 2 is a game based on building a amusement park and managing your own staff, rides and money. You also Choose how the terrain looks based on how you transform it.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 is essentially a strategy game for the PC that was published by Infogrames and developed by Chris Sawyer Productions. The game puts you in the shoes of well... a RollerCoaster Tycoon!

So basically, you get a menu of parks to choose from based on challenge, and even some that are your own custom parks. Each park has a different goal such as reaching a certain number of guests, obtaining a certain park value, or even making a certain number of exciting rides! Once you pick park, you usually start off with nothing, just a load of cash to use(or none if no money is involved with the certain park). You can start with the basics-- a few mini rides and food and drink shops to make some money, and charge the fees of your choice, and eventually roller coasters! You have different classifications of coasters like wooden and hyper coaster, etc You can either choose from default rides or make one of your own. Once you make your own coasters, you can save it to your computer and use them in your other parks, awesome right?

The customization options for building coasters are fantastic. You have many different parts to choose from, and it manages to be complex without going too far over the top. The same goes for your own park customizations, you can change the square footage, the landscape, and even your guests' preferences, and the thing is you don't have to do any of that, but you have all the options you'd ever need.

The game also shipped with a scenario editor to edit make your own scenario. You can edit everything from the types of rides available to the starting cash to the map objectives.

So that is basically the gist of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, you make rides and attractions and complete goals. It may sound silly, but it ends up being a whole lot of fun.
