    Overview

    RollerCoaster Tycoon is a pinball machine developed and manufactured by Stern Pinball in 2002.

    The RollerCoaster Tycoon pinball machine is largely amusement park themed, with multiple ramps and tracks that resemble the thrill rides present in the video game series. Some sections are also based on carnival games, including a talking mascot.

    Gameplay

    RollerCoaster Tycoon has several features and modes.

    Objective

    The objective of RollerCoaster Tycoon is to get as many attendees to the park as possible and to turn on the rides.

    Turning on the Rides

    The rides on the playfield can be turned on by shooting the ball at the ride. When hit the light by the ride will turn from red to yellow and then yellow to green to signify it is turned on.

    Multiball

    RollerCoaster Tycoon features a standard three ball multiball. To start the multiball, players must lock three balls. Lock is lit when rides are turned on. The first two balls are locked by hitting the left ramp while lit. After the first two balls are locked the multiball will start when the player can shoot the right ramp.

    Jackpot

    Players can earn a jackpot during a live multiball. The rides that have been opened will be lit. If those lit rides are hit a jackpot will be awarded.

    Super Jackpot

    Players can earn a super jackpot during a multiball by first hitting all of the lit jackpots. Once all of the jackpots have been hit a super jackpot is earned by shooting the Rocket Roller Coaster.

    Extra Ball

    In RollerCoaster Tycoon players can earn an extra ball in two different ways. The first way is to complete all the Food Stand shots. The second method is to achieve a specified number of guests attending the park.
