Can you recommend your favorite Coconut water brand? I am on the east coast and the only one I can find in my local stores is Zico.

What is a coconut water?
Monkey piss.
Boy that Wikipedia page sure had the word "endosperm" in it a lot. I've drank coconut water out of a coconut a few times but honestly don't remember what it tasted like. I think that I'd rather just have a beer. Or you know. Water.
I live in Barbados, and we don't really sell "brands" of coconut water, 'cus that shit just grows in people's back yards. Hell, there's a coconut tree right outside my window at work AND at home. If I want coconut water, I either cut my own coconut, or buy it from any of the hundreds of coconut vendors at the side side of the road, and they just pour that shit into plain ass plastic bottles.
This is not for everyone but what I do is buy 4 or 5 coconuts a week and they're cut like the picture below. I take the base and stab it with a knife till I find the hole whack a straw in and drink straight from the source after i tear it open grab a spoon and scoop the insides, DELISH!

@Tearhead If the coconuts are so plentiful how the hell do the vendors make anything off of them?
You have to cut a bunch of coconuts to get a substantial amount, and cutting a coconut isn't as easy as say squeezing an orange, so I'd rather just buy a gallon of coconut water than do all of that work. So, yeah, basically laziness. Also, because it's so plentiful, buying it is dirt cheap.
Edit: I just want to add that taking a gallon of coconut water to the head on the morning of a hangover is one of the greatest feelings of relief, ever!

That's like asking how do people sell apples if they grown on trees.
I've wanted to try it for the longest time now but it's just too damn expensive. I refuse to pay $5 for a bottle of water.

is it a euphemism for those poo's you have after a night on the guiness or after a spicey current.
brown rain we call it
lol
The brands I've tried are OK, but nothing worth buying again. Chocolate Zico is one of the worst things I've ever tasted in my life.

I've only ever tried GOYA brand and it's kinda gross. I love coconut though, so I'm thinking GOYA just sucks.
It's definitely an acquired taste.
I fuckin love coconut water, I find it quite refreshing. Vitacoco is the only good brand I can find here in Colorado. I wish I could find some c2o it's supposed to be the best.
I hate Coconut's, but I love Coconut water. C2O is the only way, it's refreshing and delicious. This is also coming from a person that basically only drinks water, with an occasional unsweetened, hot tea. So keep that in mind.
I've also tried ONE (tastes like soapy water) and I Vita (soapy still, but a little sweet).
C2O is kind of expensive, but I just checked today and it's back in stock on Amazon from a few sellers for around $25 for a 12 pack of 17.5 oz cans. I purchased the "with pulp" version last week because they were the only version at $25 (the rest were $35+), but I wouldn't recommend it. It tastes great, but the pulp is awkward; it's more like pieces of strange stuff that you have to chew on while drinking. Go for the Unsweetened version, I just bought another case.
If you ever have an opportunity to have a fresh, cold coconut hacked open for you and then drink the water right out of it, I highly recommend doing so. It became a tradition for us going to Coachella every year in the SoCal desert when it's 100 degrees plus...there is always a fresh coconut stand and they'll chop the tops off with machetes and hand them to you. It's got to be the most refreshing drink in existence...then when you're done, you can cut them open and eat the coconut meat out of it with your hands or a spoon or something. Great stuff.
After having coconut water this way, I just can't have bottled or canned versions of it.

If it's anything like coconut milk, fuck that shit.
It's not at all. Coconut water is just the naturally occurring water from inside the nut when it's cut open. Coconut milk is the juice that is squeezed out of the meat, it's totally different.
I'm more concerned with the flavor, though. I like coconut flavored candy fine, but coconut milk is just too much for me.
