Hmm...yeah, I can definitely see the resemblence. Now when I go to see the new movie, I will probably start thinking about Giant Bomb when Hagrid shows up.

No it's just fat man syndrome. Basically the fat and chubbiness homogenizes the features of the person, especially the facial features. It's why all babies look the same.

Well Ryan doesn't quite have Hagrid's crazy beard but the problem now is if I ever do see that new Harry Potter film the whole time I'm going to be shouting "Ryan, nooooo!".
Right when I read the title of the thread, I thought of Ryan's scary drunk look on the front page of the one-year anniversary video. Because, when you think about it, he does, to the point where it's kind of weird. Further research in this topic just goes to show such a conjecture is true. All he's missing is the obvious beard and burly British voice, as well as the love for Harry Potter. Needless to say, great topic, (wo)man.

Yes yes yes. Hot Fuzz is amazing. "Who wants cake?"
And yes, I do notice a similarity between the two. It is funny really; Ryan can look like a bunch of people. He even looks like Kevin Smith in a sense:
