What car did Ryan buy?

#1 Posted by DanHammett (96 posts) - 8 months, 19 days ago

In the most recent bombcast, Ryan mentioned that he bought a new car. So, just wondering, what car is it?

#2 Posted by Mahonay (779 posts) - 8 months, 19 days ago

He bought a Plymouth Prowler.

Based on his previous statements of it being something sensible, and it having to be big enough to fit him in it, and it being a Nissan, I'd wager it was a Maxima.

It's a mystery to us all...

Nissan Leaf.

#7 Posted by TheHBK (4870 posts) - 8 months, 19 days ago

Nissan. Considering he now answers to a woman, I would bet on the Altima. Maybe the Maxima, but that is just a luxury style Altima.

#8 Posted by Ramone (2423 posts) - 8 months, 19 days ago

Nissan Cube, because that's how he rolls.

That's the 2 seater version for fat people. One up front, one in the back.

Isn't that the new taxi for London and New York. I think I saw that somewhere...

My guess is got a Nissan Quest and is embarrassed about it. Reasoning as follows:

  1. We know he got it from a Nissan dealership.
  2. It needs to be roomy enough for him.
  3. It needs to be big enough to move arcade cabinets.

I called him out on Twitter about it, but didn't get a response. Was waiting for a "BLOCKED!"

Fat people jokes, haha very funny, very classy. Going to bully some kids in wheel chairs this weekend?

Oh god. You don't know what you have just done.

Prepare yourself for 4 pages of argument.

Best to just ignore them in the future.

Whatever car it is, I'm sure it secretly transforms into some kind of plane. Or a boat.

Yup, totally saw him say that as well. It's definitely a Maxima.

Sensible choice...I just hate that the body style sees major changes on Nissans every year. Plus, for that amount of dough, he could've gotten a TL, or G37.

Man American Nissans are weird.

What an unexciting choice. Then again, he is a bird watcher.

Being in a wheel chair means you have a disability which is out of your control, being fat does not.

Sorry I know this is potentially argument starting but I couldn't resist.

@dagas: @NickL:

I actually felt quite bad for making the joke, I don't go around bullying people for their lifestyle choices or medical needs. Part of the reason I posted what I did is simply because Ryan is fat, and there's no point in tippy toeing around that. He knows it also. The man has heath issues, as was evidenced on his Kinect 'Horse meet rider' videos. He was left flat out for a few days afterwards, simply for jiggling about on camera for a couple of hours. I think it's time he, personally addressed those issues, because I want him being a jerk to others for as long as possible, especially brad.

Does this mitigate what I wrote as a joke. Nope. And I apologise. No one should be discriminated for their own personal choices as long as it doesn't hurt society or others. Except for PC gamers who are vile nerdy scum and they should know consoles rule.

What about being an asshole? Is that beyond your control?

I'm sorry but I just think that comparing people in wheel chairs to people who are fat is wrong. But you're right it was a asshole thing to say.

Depends what he paid. It wasn't list price. Sounds like it was pre-registered (delivery milage) and Jeff was throwing out numbers lik $10k off sticker.

How's that then? Oh wait, I know what you'll say. Someone being fat is their choice and they deserve it. Therefor it's okay to verbally abuse them.
