Well its been a few months since this has been asked last.  Anyone know if Saints Row 2 for pc has been fixed so it doesn't run so slow?  I was just playing it at my friend's and now I really wanna pick it up on steam but I heard it had issues when it came out.

There was a patch on steam recently I think to make it run a bit faster. However the game needs more than two cores for sure. It's even part of the recommended requirements. The patch will run faster, however not by much.

Runs fine for me at max settings, the main problem is it instantly crashes at the airport mission, not sure if anyone else has this.

@Bobdaman18: There is no guaranty that it would work much better. It might be a lousy port.

It runs fine for me and my buddy but we both get bad lag/hang ups when you drive a car really fast.  You get used to it after a while and it really is a shame since the game is so fun.  Got it with the THQ steam pack, no regrets here.

This is the laziest port I've ever seen. The radial menus still show the analog stick and D-pad, and it still runs like crap (Core 2 Duo, 9800GT). And I thought Dead Space was bad with its mouse issues, but this is definitely worse.

I think I'm going to get this for 360 at some point though.
