Specifically, female voice two. It isn't overdone and super "oh ho ho I am ze Frenchman oui oui" like you might think given the game. It's super great and also real funny. You guys can say that Troy Baker/Laura Bailey/Cockney is the one true voice but you are all wrong. The French voice is the best voice. Hearing French exclamations when shit starts popping off is amazing every single time. Frankly, if you're not playing with the French voice and Mad Decent blasting from the radio, you're playing this game wrong. WRONG.

I'm liking the French female voice as well....but Its not as good as the female Russian from SR3 and im bitter about it.

Oh shit, I missed this post. The frame rate was kinda borked early on. The tutorial area had some slowdown and a weird scripting thing where the three partners teleported from in front of me to further up the area where I had to stealth the guy. But after that, the framerate has been fine; other than when I did a UFO Rampage and caused so much destruction low to the ground that everything slowed down.

It's been playable. Just don't turn the camera towards the trees when you're blowing a lot of crap up.

The french female voice is my pick too. THough I have to say that the "southern belle" voice is also excellent.

I also enjoy the fact that whenever Nolan North gets to play Nolan North he hams it up like a bad VO. His pain sounds in SR4 are especially good.

Will keep that in mind to try that one out though still missing the Eastern Europe/Russian sounding one from SR3 in the 4th game. Still did the first run through with the default female voice as it had quite a lot of good lines in SR3 but the Russian one was also good in a lot of places.

Sanabria was the best in SR2 and SR3. The way she reacted to Mayor Burt Reynolds was the most adorable thing ever.

I adapted to her absence by making The Boss straight-up "They Live' Roddy Piper. Troy Baker pitched down 10%. He does an authentic Ric Flair "Woo!" The lack of blue flannel was a little frustrating, but then I got awarded the "Hot Rod" outfit so I'm set for rest of the game.

Yep, I was going to use female voice 1. Then, I tried out female french voice and it's amazing. She says merde instead of shit and it's hilarious! Merde!

I was miffed they got rid of Female 2 (the latina, I think?), but I am soooo digging the french voice actress. Her delivery is just greatness, I here Troy Baker in everything, I here Nolan in everything, I heard laura bailey in everything.... I am just glad to hear a different voice.

@donchipotle: Couldn't agree more. I changed to the french voice to suit my character redesign lastnight and I was super surprised at how funny/awesome it was. God damn, playing through this game multiple times seems worth it just for the different voice actors!

I've found Atkin Downes to be pretty damn satisfactory thus far. But for an inevitable second playthrough, I'm now definitely tied between the French lady voice and the Southern Belle voice.
