I couldn't really get into the last SR. Thinking about giving this one a try, though.
Saints Row: The Third's Got CG Power
Strap it on.
That was meant to be a joke, but after watching the trailer I see they really are going with that tag line....
Also, what was up with the lady with the laptop during the shootout?
"Oh, sorry, I'm updating my facebook status, can't really hide from the bullets"
Anyway, I liked playing SR2 with my buddy.
That just about reflects how i remember playing saints row 2. Everything being balls out crazy and surviving the impossible every five minutes. 10X explosions, infinite ammo, infinite life, mass hole, and thunder storms. The only way i ever played that game.
God damn it I love Saints Row! I hope they don't take the ridiculousness to far though, Saints Row 1 was about the right level for me.I can pretty much guarantee you that this game will be more ridiculous than Saints Row 1.
Well that did not make much sense, but then when did Saint's Row ever do?It actually kind of does, but only cause I read the Game Informer article. The dude who stabs the elevator guard in teh beginning is the main villain, the 2 women are his main sidekicks/henchmen. The penthouse is the Saints' hangout, cause they've "sold out" or become famous by the beginning of this game. The dude gets up there, and he and his gang begin to start to attack the saints. This ends at teh top of the building, with all of the main characters on teh roof.
@craigbo180 said:Definitely. The original SR was largely a San Andreas clone, while SR2 then strayed a little with its own brand of lovably absurd stupidity. I feel like SR3 looks, weirdly enough, just a bit self-seriousness with the darker tone upon everything, but from what they've confirmed to appear--like air-strikes, sky-high gun battles, tanks and a unique ball-socking attack per weapon--it'll have just as much fucked up as SR2, and will look better while you're doing it all.God damn it I love Saints Row! The trailer was great, i'ii probably be checking out this game because SR2 was just too much when playing with my sis, and whats with the music? It was some weird remix of 21st century schizoid man of king crimson with something completely different. no complaints though.

Honestly I've never been hyped for a sequel, but this has me excited. Saints Row 2 was a blast and if this game tops the crazy even a little bit I'll be pleased.
This is one of my most anticipated games of the year! Despite being a pre-rendered movie, the trailer's still got me hyped. Loved the previous Saint's Row games and the co-op in SR2 was amazing (really glad to hear that's back for 3).
With Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3, Saints Row 3 and Gears 3 all releasing around the same time... the end of this year's going to get expensive.
