I have a great idea for the next saints row game.

Fantasy setting, they did scifi now they should do fantasy. Think about it piece is a mage, shandi is a succubus. Bring Oleg back and make him a gelatinous cube that talks. They've parodied every scifi thing ever in saints row 4, they should try their hand at making fun of rpgs, lotr, d&d, wow.

... that might work, actually.

Here's another idea: The Saint's go bad. You play a bottom level thug working his way up through a new gang to take out the corrupt Saints!! I call it Saints Row V: A New Hope

The Boss would make a great villain.

But I like yer fantasy angle too :)

If they keep in the ridiculous music and language, I'm with @believer258 on this one. The Boss punching a dragon would be pretty cool.

Next Saints Row will be a third person shooter combined with a reality show. The Boss will shoot someone and then there will be a sudden cutaway to the Boss in an interview room describing what he was thinking when he shot that guy. And then a clip of Pierce finding something amazing off-screen, going "take a look at this!" and then cut to commercial. When the commercial finishes, reiterate _everything_ that happened before the commercial.

Seriously, that would be the next step in taking Saints Row from corporate clone to complete social commentary.

@brodehouse: "Hey, listen Jack, you mess with the Saints, hey, that's what you get. That's one-a them DEDs: Don't Ever Do's"

I like the reality show idea :) I feel like Dominatrix was playing with that idea a bit. I thought I read the next one will go in a totally new direction or reboot, which makes me sad :(

They should just be fully doing that "Saints through time" idea at the end of IV, somehow. Not sure exactly how it'd work. Maybe stuff from the past leaking into the modern world or something?

Just get the Boss and crew in the middle of various historical incidents.

That actually sounds like damn good idea!

I wouldn't mind if the Saints took a break for a while. Volition could make a game with a similar irreverent tone in a different setting and cast of characters. A fantasy game could be cool. Maybe they'd parody self serious games like Dragon Age, Skyrim, and The Witcher. It's also a good excuse to borrow some of their cooler gameplay mechanics.

@artisanbreads: Exactly. The images during the credits made it clear they had great ideas for settings.

I wouldn't mind the main character being Bill Murray. That is it.

That idea sounds pretty great, but I seem to recall Volition saying somewhere that Saints IV marks the end of The Boss' (as we know him/her) story. I would bet on either a full reboot or different main character to be the next step for the franchise.

I think they should keep with the time travel idea and just have them go back to caveman days. Get it to be a tie in with the Flintstones and have the saints invade Bedrock. Then they can do an expansion where they have to go into the future to undo the mistakes they made in the past and have it be a tie in with the Jetsons. THINK ABOUT IT!

PERFECT. Stamp it, seal it, hand it to the writers, and tell the artists to start drawing rocks, dinosaurs, palm leaves, and an anime version of John Goodman.

@jz: you had me at "succubus"

It should be Steelport again, except now everything is mirrored, you know like Castlevania! Oh and you can get ice-skates with huge dildos on them!

I like all of these ideas.

I just want to keep playing my guy with the British accent. That's THE best accent for the male and the only one I will admit is in the game.

I think a fantasy setting is just what the series needs. They've gone past the point of reality, so a fantasy setting might work. How would the weapons work though? Would a mage be a sniper with his stick? I'd imagine travel would be amazing. Instead of cars you ride animals around. I personally would like to ride a Tiger. That'd be awesome. You should write an email to Volition.

I've played all the Saints Row games, and find that Saints Row 2 is my favorite. There was so much cool shit to do in that game, and I loved the Assassination missions where you had to find someone and kill them. I'd also be happy if they went back to Saints Row 2 and expanded on it. What's your duders favorite Saints Row game?

#23 Edited by mina_mina752 (121 posts) -

whatever the next game saints row will be i hope it does not have "aliens"

less aliens, more gangs

i don't know about u guys but i really enjoyed killing gang members like morning star chicks and deckers specialists...i didn't like fighting aliens in sriv the game just take a wrong turn from a gang warfare game to another halo alien crap game

#24 Posted by ExpertGamer (1 posts) -

Maybe in SR4 you go from the storyline were you save shaundi but for SR5 you could start from kill killbane

#25 Posted by EuanDewar (4771 posts) -

after all of the stuff about the same companies being in operation in both series' i always wanted Saints Row and Red Faction to properly crossover and make some mad combined thing out of their unique elements
