A place where airplanes land and take off, hopefully. Also where food is really, really overpriced, and intrigue always seems around the corner, at least in video games.
A narrow street with walls on both sides.
A general location used to store and invest money. Whether players rob it, or store money in it and gain some interest, banks are a long-standing institution in video games.
A place to buy alcoholic beverages and to mingle/meet with non player characters. Bars in games are sometimes essential to advance the plot, or recruit party members. Bars are the modern equivalents of taverns. You see taverns in fantasy games and bars in modern/sci-fi games.
An agricultural building used for storage and as a covered workplace.
A room which is devoted entirely to hygiene, containing a toilet and sometimes a sink. Residential bathrooms typically have a shower or bathtub.
Beaches are slopes of sand, gravel, or pebbles that lead down to the water of an ocean, sea, river, or lake.
The room in the house where sleeping and other activities take place. It is also the place where clothes are stored and are likely to be taken off. For some people it is the place where they do the least and most strenuous activities.
Because some bridges are too large to be considered mere objects.
A business establishment where clients may purchase the services of prostitutes.
A dark opening in a solid mass, like rock.
A common place in Survival Horror video games. Burial grounds for the deceased. Or zombies.
Chinatown is a general term used to describe a section of a city with a large Chinese population, and with many Chinese operated businesses.
A place of worship.
A city is a large and densely populated urban area.
A convenient shop full of convenient things. In North America, they're typically attached to gas stations and pharmacies.
A courtroom is where a judge, defendant, plaintiff, and often a jury, gather to hear arguments of a legal case and determine if the accused is guilty or not.
Cyberspace is a virtual world accessed through electronic technology and the modulation of electromagnetic energy. Which usually boils down to "going inside the Internet".
A prefabricated restaurant.
The dining room is a room specifically used for people to eat in. Usually contains a table, chairs, and periodically, food.
A port where seagoing vessels can take on or discharge cargo.
An industrial site consisting of one or more buildings with facilities for manufacturing.
A place where cars and other possessions are kept.
A gas station is a type of establishment that sells fuel and lubricants for automobiles. In video games, they serve as something else: a massive bomb.
A place which houses exercise equipment for the purpose of physical exercise.
A structure or building for housing aircraft.
Home is where the heart is, and a good place to go back to when you want some rest. A home can also be a good place to save your game, change your clothes, and change your options.
A hospital is a place to seek help in a medical emergency. It is also used for treating minor illnesses that aren't necessary an emergency. Some games take place in a hospital, whilst others use them as a part of the environment.
A place where the player can rent a bed/room for the night, or cause trouble. Hotels are distinct locations in games where the player goes to restore their health, save the game, cure status effects, or even to advance the plot and/or level. Also called Inns in some games.
A kitchen is found in many game for purposes of food preparation and storage. People may eat there too.
