Samurai Shodown

2D fighting game for the Neo-Geo Gaming Console. Versions of the game were made and ported to other popular gaming consoles.

Samurai Showdown was a big hit for the Neo-Geo gaming console back in the 16-bit days. The game proved that serious sword combat can be done in a 2D fighter. The game had various ports done. Including one for the SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, 3DO, etc. It has since resurfaced as a game you can buy on Wii shop.
