Sanguine is a Daedric lord in The Elder Scrolls franchise, appearing in The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as a quest-giver, and being briefly mentioned in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. He is generally associated with sins of pleasure, debauchery and lust and is depicted as a fat, squat man with small horns, either holding a bottle or a female prostitute and standing on a skull. Sanguine's summoning day is Heart's Day in Daggerfall and he is generally an enemy of any good-natured God, such as Mara.
Sanguine's most notable influence on the game are his quests in which he gifts the player the Sanguine Rose, either a magical staff or usable item, which summon lesser Daedra to fight for the bearer. In Daggerfall, Sanguine awards the rose for killing a priest, and in Oblivion, the staff is gifted for casting a nudity spell on a castle's party, much to the humour of Sanguine. In Skyrim you must go on a drunken pranking rampage, and then in a "Hangover"-like sequence correct it all; as with Oblivion, the reward is the Sanguine Rose, and in addition, a brief trip to Saguine's Daedric realm.
