    Overview

    Saria is a character In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. A member of the Kokiri tribe of forest children, Saria is Link's best friend in Kokiri Village. Before Link departs on his adventure, she gives him his first ocarina as a gift. Seven years later, Link discovered that she is one of the six sages.

    Zelda II

    In Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, one of the towns in the game is called Saria. Most of the names of the towns in the game were later used as the names of the sages in Ocarina of Time. Because Zelda II is set later in the timeline, it can be inferred that the town of Saria was named after the sage.
