Satoru Okada
Former former General Manager of Nintendo Research & Engineering Department, the division responsible for designing the Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP, and Nintendo DS consoles. Now retired.
Okada joined the company in 1975 and started as an engineer under Gunpei Yokoi (Person). After Yokoi left the company in 1996, the Nintendo Research & Engineering division was created and Okoda stepped in as the GM where he was a key figure in keeping Yokoi's design philosophies alive when designing the Game Boy Color (Platform), Game Boy Advance (Platform) and Nintendo DS (Platform). He went into retirement sometime between 2009-2010 after the Nintendo DSi XL hit the market.
