Can such an innovative idea deliver on the gameplay aspect?
When I first put it in, I was very impressed with how the graphics, and sound came together. It has a very sleek look to its visual style. Scribblenauts starts out with a nice little tutorial to get you started before you start wrecking havock using your broad vocabulary skills . After I got done admiring the graphics and finishing the tutorial I let loose my creative side and started to write all sorts of crazy things. If it wasn't for the gameplay though I would of loved it a whole lot more. After you get passed all the creative aspects you start to realize what a shame it is that this game can't deliver on easy controls. It features touch only and it doesn't do a great job at it either. If you want a fun game that you can take with you on the go this is it. You will however, have to get used to the wonky controls that hold the game back, but if you can get past it you will enjoy a deep rich game full of innovative awesomeness.
Presentation- 9.0, Its very clean and simple. In other words, it doesn't get "clunky".
Gameplay- 6.5, You will have to get used to this crazy control system in order to enjoy the game
Graphics- 8.5, Everything has a pretty sleek, sketchy, simple look to it.
Sound- 8.0, Its like old-school clashes with new-school.
Replay Value- 10, Every level has pretty much endless possibilities on how you can complete them.
Overall- 8.5, the overall package delivers, and it will keep you playing for a long time.
