Sega is a long-running Japanese company responsible for arcade hits like Space Harrier, home consoles like the Dreamcast, and franchises such as Sonic the Hedgehog.
Long story short, they are killing it on mobile, are forecasting ~50% (!!) increase in revenue last fiscal thanks in part to those games. So Sega is focusing their resources into what they call "console quality" mobile games aimed at the Asian markets.
On the other hand, some of their console games are struggling to push out 100K units. Sonic Boom in particular was considered a financial disaster, although it did push 500K. And furthermore they are experiencing intense margin pressure in "packaged goods" so they don't think it's a profitable avenue for them anymore.
