Awesome Sega Mega Drive & Saturn Zippo's

I love my SEGA and I heart my Zippo's, so when I saw these two beauties, I naturally fell in love with them instantly.

I like them both but I would have preferred to have seen the white HST-0014 Saturn, instead of the original HST 0001 model, which I've never really liked. However, it does look like more variations are on the way given the model names below.

The lighters are called "Sega Memorial Hardware Zippo Lighter No.1 Mega Drive Model" and "Sega Memorial Hardware Zippo Lighter No. 2 Sega Saturn Model." Ask your local smoking paraphernalia specialist to see if they can get some in stock, alternatively you could import from Japan:

I don't smoke, but that Megadrive (Genesis can suck it) lighter looks so awesome. The Saturn one less so, in part because I don't remember the original being silver with blue buttons, but maybe thats just me.

Thanks, I was going to say something along the same lines, only far more severe, but I deleted it before I posted : P

That Saturn model is the original Japanese one, it had a black cartridge flap, blue oval buttons & a drive access LED. The next model released in Japan was a off white model, which was basically the same colour as the later Dreamcast. It has a magenta button which is very Vampire Saviory, It's my favourite model:

@Linkyshinks: Holy crap! That blows my mind. I have such rigidly defined memories of the Saturn as a huge-ass black box. That white one looks awesome, but unfortunately it makes the fact that the next-to-useless cartridge slot exists even more obvious.

I would not be able to play some of my most beloved games on Saturn without that cartridge slot.. It may be useless to most users in our parts, but for fans of fighting games (RAM carts needed for the best) and Japanese games in general, it made the console awesome. (- the Action Replay cart allowed multi region play )

The RAM carts were never released in the US and Europe officially, but if you imported certain games you could get one inside.

The Saturn one isn't up to scratch with the MD one, but I do like the gold logo :)

it says on the bottom of the Saturn one made in the USA. Why do i need to import it?

Did you know they can't ship Zippo lighters with fluid in them? So plan on buying some lighter fluid. Oh and get some extra wicks and flint.

If you take care of it, it'll last forever. Zippo lighters are amazing!

Because there are more than than just Americans on this site?. All Zippo's are made in Penslyvania, but these stocks are made primarily for the Japanese market, meaning most stock will go thataaway. The fact that both lighters feature Japanese models, and not Westrn variations, is telling. Zippo target different countries based on research like any other successful company. Like I say in the OP, if you ask your local Tobacconist, they may be able to order some in for you.
